Yeo Hwi

Yeo Hwi is an Entering Nirvana True Person whose captivity, betrayals, and refinement transform her from a predatory adviser into one of Seo Eun-hyun’s long-lived Upper Immortal companions in A Regressor’s Tale of Cultivation. She retains her mind after becoming the Immortal Treasure Twin Constructing Chains, so the treasure state is not a replacement personality. Fear and appetite remain powerful motives, but millions of years beside Ham Jin and Yu Hwi expand her self-interest into genuine stewardship.

Biography

Captured True Person and chained Sacred Master

Seo first presents Yeo Hwi as a captured Entering Nirvana disciple of the Northern Dipper Seven Heavenly Lords. She mocks his incomplete plans but supplies knowledge he cannot safely invent: the mechanics of Entering Nirvana, Opening Enclosure, and the dangers of True Immortal advancement. Her missing presence within the Northern Dipper alignment also becomes a strategic weakness, turning a prisoner’s continued survival into leverage against her former patrons. (Chapters 514–540)

Yeo Hwi deliberately reduces cultivation to Sacred Vessel and takes the Cedarwood Painting Sacred Master seat as shelter and a route back to authority. When True Immortal Seo arrives, she invokes Middle Realm power and rebels rather than accept his prophecy. The attempt fails. Seo swallows and refines her into Twin Constructing Chains, preserving her consciousness and expertise while removing the independent Sacred Master position from which she tried to resist him. Bound survival does not immediately become loyalty. Yeo Hwi advises on prophecy because her own fate is implicated, serves as transport and restraint, and suffers retaliation from Golden Shaking Bird for the living sacrifices used in her earlier refinement. After Seo breaks the Northern Dipper seal that defined her masters’ control, she chooses to rejoin him. The decision remains self-protective, but it is more durable than obedience created only by chains. (Chapters 559–588)

Three Divine Spirits and Upper Immortality

Inside Seo’s sealed spacetime, Yeo Hwi cultivates beside Ham Jin and Yu Hwi while civilizations rise beneath an increasingly unstable master. She regulates ice ages, studies routes through fate, negotiates with Oh Hye-seo, and helps plan resistance. Her attraction to both companions remains predatory and irreverent, forcing Ham to challenge conduct that treats another person as available merely because she is stronger. (Chapters 577–584)

The worsening crisis changes the stakes. Abandoning Seo would also abandon innumerable people trapped within his worlds, while simply obeying his madness would turn those civilizations into fuel. Yeo Hwi joins the corrective attack and accepts personal loss in the attempt to wake him. This does not make her conventionally gentle; it proves that fear of death and genuine responsibility can coexist within the same difficult person. (Chapters 582–590)

After the reunion, she remains among Seo’s Immortal Treasures through immense spans of cultivation. Kang Min-hee’s support helps her face the advancement risk she once avoided, and the former captive crosses the immortal ladder with companions rather than alone. By the time she reaches Upper Immortal, Twin Constructing Chains is no longer merely a prison-state imposed after rebellion but a continuing identity through which she navigates, fights, and helps defend later realms. Appearance and personality

After refinement, Yeo Hwi appears as a woman in black robes with chains hanging across her body. Her treasure nature also supports flight transformations, including a vast peng suited to long travel and a small crow used in more compact movement. These forms remain Yeo Hwi’s own manifestations; a change between woman, peng, crow, and chain does not indicate a new consciousness replacing the captive True Person. (Chapters 559, 564, 598)

She is lust-driven, opportunistic, mocking, knowledgeable, and deeply afraid of death. Those traits make her both dangerous and inventive: she can propose audacious plans precisely because she constantly calculates escape. Long hardship adds loyalty, concern, and a capacity for sacrifice without erasing appetite or irreverence. Her development is not purification into a different temperament, but the growth of responsibilities that can restrain the same self-interested instincts. (Chapters 547–550, 577–629)

Abilities and cultivation

Twin Constructing Twin Destruction

Yeo Hwi’s Entering Nirvana Immortal Art constructs and destroys paired structures through star veins, chains, antimatter, and fate-linked operations. It can restrain Vestiges, model spatial or prophetic relationships, combine borrowed Immortal Arts, and support attacks whose scale exceeds a single ordinary body. After refinement, the technique materializes naturally through the Twin Constructing Chains treasure-state. (Chapters 534–540, 560, 579–584)

Her cultivation can be sealed or deliberately reduced, and treasure-state activation may depend on Seo’s authority or available borrowed power. Constructing a paired answer also requires a valid relation to work upon; it is not unrestricted creation and destruction. At Upper Immortal, the same identity and paired principles remain active at a higher scale, supported by the companions and long cultivation that make her later authority sustainable. Star Vein Eye, Opening Enclosure, and flight

The Star Vein Eye reads celestial routes and helps locate exits across Heavenly Domains. Combined with peng or crow transformation and borrowed authority, it makes Yeo Hwi a navigator and transporter over immense distances. Stronger prophecies, hostile seals, and history revisions can still redirect or trap the route, so accurate perception does not guarantee freedom from every authority governing the destination. (Chapters 564–575)

Opening Enclosure is a basic Immortal Art of Entering Nirvana True Persons that she teaches Seo while captive. It opens a domain through True Person authority and supplies a verified operational model for a realm he has not reached in the ordinary way. Output depends on realm and available authority; transmitting the formula does not transfer Yeo Hwi’s full experience or automatically reproduce her personal Immortal Art. (Chapter 540)
