Stone of Glory
The Stone of Glory is a protective treasure obtained from Selma and worn by Du Ge during the sea simulation.
History
Selma describes the stone as protection against negative effects, and Ed accepts the role of preserving it for Du Ge while Barry pays for the Dragon Sword. Du Ge nevertheless wears the stone himself. Before leaving on the final quest, he describes the two artifacts as future safeguards for the Sea Fish Pirates, but he retains the stone through the campaign and is still wearing it when it nullifies Gaul's gravity effect. (Chapters 167–173 and 181)
Abilities and properties
The stone's protection is passive and gives no obvious sensation until a hostile effect is applied. Its clearest demonstration occurs when a gravity ring drags Vito and Mans downward while Du Ge remains entirely unaffected and initially fails to realize why they are struggling. The stone is not shown blocking physical attacks, and nothing establishes that it can preserve a bearer after the simulation or resist every divine power; its confirmed function is immunity to at least this externally imposed negative effect.
