Feng Shiyi

Feng Shiyi is Feng Shiren's younger brother and one of the Feng Family's most experienced fighters. He helps bring Feng Qi into the family, then becomes an important early interpreter of the Heavenly Demon's sudden growth.

Biography

Betting the Feng Family's future on Feng Qi

Feng Shiyi initially focuses on preparing Feng Yunjie for the Qiao Family Holy Land, but Feng Qi's recovery and escalating strength force him to reconsider the family's prospects. He proposes that Heavenly Demons receive power from destiny when their hosts act in accordance with their nature, persuading the wary Feng elders that Feng Qi's growth may signal the family's rise. Although he later helps stage a break with Feng Qi under pressure, witnessing Feng Qi attack Qiu Yuanlang to protect the Feng Family convinces him that the apparent betrayal was genuine self-sacrifice. He returns in remorse and accepts the subordinate role Feng Qi assigns him. (Chapters 3–11 and 21–30)

As Feng Qi's Peacekeeping Gang expands, Feng Shiyi supplies established martial skill and family legitimacy, but he gradually understands that their positions have reversed. The former servant can now dominate Luyang City and determine the Feng Family's place in his organization. Feng Shiyi's accommodation keeps his relatives within the new order, though it ends the family's ability to direct Feng Qi for its own advancement. (Chapters 40–50)

Appearance and personality

Feng Shiyi wears a long beard and laughs heartily when encouraging younger relatives. He is experienced and analytical, yet family loyalty can make him accept a hopeful explanation before all its risks are known. (Chapters 3 and 11)

Martial abilities

Feng Shiyi has deep internal energy, decades of combat experience, and enough technique to outmatch Feng Qi before the latter's attributes fully develop. His martial arts are comparable to those of Liu Cheng, but neither can challenge Feng Qi after his rapid growth. (Chapters 11 and 41)

Relationships

• Du Ge: As Feng Qi, Du Ge changes from a useful family retainer into Feng Shiyi's superior. Feng Shiyi's guilt over abandoning him helps secure his later loyalty.
• Feng Shiren: Feng Shiyi is his younger brother and advises him on the meaning of the Heavenly Demons.
