Falling Star Stone — Way of Choices

The Falling Star Stone is a white Heavenstone inset with a black-gold array, one of the Orthodoxy's major treasures and a component of the Li Palace grand array. (Chapters 821 and 901)

History

Baishi's unauthorized escape

Daoist Baishi secretly removes the Falling Star Stone from the Li Palace without the Pope's permission and uses it to absorb much of Linghai Zhiwang's surprise attack. When cornered, he opens a spatial path intended to carry him hundreds of li away. Chen Changsheng suppresses the artifact with the Divine Staff, causing its distortion of the world's laws to fail and its bond with Baishi to separate. Baishi severs the remaining connection at the cost of backlash and is subsequently killed, after which the stone remains with Chen. (Chapters 821–822 and 1020)

Returned to the Orthodoxy's arrays

Chen uses the stone against Bie Yanghong's red flower, where its spatial vortex breaks the flower's controlling string but is itself split and dispersed by the same collision. It remains functional and later becomes a central node in the Li Palace grand array: Chen sends it to Daoist Siyuan to stabilize the formation against an Angel of Sacred Light, and it returns to the Prefects when the array breaks. Chen also uses it as a barrier and keeps it ready in later confrontations, while its final listing among the Orthodoxy's treasures confirms continued institutional custody. Abilities and properties

The Falling Star Stone twists nearby laws, draws in wind, debris, and energy, and opens a black spatial passage capable of transporting a user several hundred li. (Chapters 821–822 and 901)
Held in the palm, it can preserve most of a peak Star Condensation cultivator's strength against another expert's full-force surprise attack. (Chapter 821)
Its vortex can fissure space strongly enough to sever Bie Yanghong's extraordinary flower-string, but that string simultaneously destroys the vortex. (Chapters 901 and 903)
As an array component, it links with the Orthodoxy's other treasures to confine targets and stabilize the Li Palace formation. Overwhelming Sacred Light can suppress the stone and contribute to backlash against the array's handlers. (Chapters 1020–1033)
The Pope's Divine Staff has hierarchical authority over the Orthodoxy treasure and can suppress its spatial effect and separate it from an unauthorized controller's Dao heart. (Chapter 822)
