Luoluo

Luoluo is the only daughter of the White Emperor and Madam Mu, the first student of Chen Changsheng, and one of the founders of the revived Orthodox Academy. Her search for a way to cultivate human techniques brings teacher and student together; their bond later shapes both the succession of the demi-human throne and the alliance between White Emperor City and the human world.

Biography

Student of the Orthodox Academy

Luoluo comes to the capital as a fourteen-year-old princess under the protection of demi-human experts, but privilege cannot solve the mismatch between her meridians and human cultivation methods. An assassin sent by Black Robe traps her beside the Orthodox Academy and overwhelms her despite her bloodline and artifacts. Chen, still unable to cultivate himself, recognizes the sword style hidden in her whip movements and calls out a new circulation route. Following his instructions lets her wound an upper-level Ethereal Opening opponent and survive until help arrives. (Chapters 25–31)

The rescue convinces Luoluo that Chen possesses the understanding her former instructors lacked. She returns with lavish gifts, refuses to be discouraged by his lack of status or cultivation, and persists until he accepts her as his student. Chen studies the structural differences in demi-human vessels and devises substitute paths for her true essence. Luoluo consequently reaches the upper level of Meditation through human practice, masters the Wind and Rain Sword of Mount Zhong, and makes the nearly empty Orthodox Academy into a household rather than merely Chen's residence. At the Ivy Festival, Luoluo's loyalty becomes public. She cripples Tianhai Ya'er after his abuse of Xuanyuan Po, then trusts Chen to direct her through a long technical contest with Guan Feibai, using the Falling Rain Whip as a sword and demonstrating that her adapted circulation works under scrutiny. The court responds by forcing her into the Li Palace, partly for safety and partly to deprive the academy of its political shield. She continues supporting her companions through Jin Yulu, prepares supplies during the Grand Examination, and waits at the academy to celebrate Chen's victory. (Chapters 54–105 and 133–230)

Separation and Loyalty

Chen's disappearance after the Garden of Zhou leaves Luoluo distressed but unwilling to let the academy appear abandoned. She confronts Mo Yu over the imprisoned Zhexiu, insists that he remains an Orthodox Academy student, and declares that Chen's absence does not mean the school has no defenders. When Chen returns from escorting Su Li, Luoluo seeks news of every danger he faced and admits that her own attempts to free Zhexiu failed. Her loyalty has developed from personal adoration into responsibility for the community created around her teacher. (Chapters 260–263 and 400–426)

Luoluo remains constrained by her royal status even after the academy's revival. Chen avoids using her as a convenient answer to political challenges, while she divides her time between the Li Palace and Imperial Palace and supplies medicine, information, and institutional support. Before her departure, he gives her one of the stone pearls made from a Heavenly Tome Monolith. Chen's treatment has by then opened a path for her to practice human methods and potentially inherit the White Emperor's techniques, so her parents summon her home to assume obligations toward the millions of demi-humans awaiting their future ruler. (Chapters 426–502)

Returning to White Emperor City separates Luoluo from the academy for years. Letters and gifts continue, but the political value of her relationship with Chen changes after the coup: her parents once welcomed the prospect of a friendly future Pope, then distance their court when his position conflicts with their calculation of demi-human interests. Luoluo does not publicly rebel against that strategy or visit Chen during her mother's later journey to the capital, yet she preserves the stone pearl and her allegiance. The separation teaches both of them that affection cannot erase the burdens attached to her throne. (Chapters 500–502, 548–558, and 638–708)

Return to White Emperor City

By the time Chen reaches the south again, Luoluo is effectively confined within White Emperor City's Imperial Palace. Madam Mu controls access to her, surrounds Jin Yulu's estate, and arranges a Heavenly Selection to determine Luoluo's marriage. Luoluo refuses to summon Chen because she believes he already bears too many responsibilities and should not be burdened by a student he has always protected. She also declines Jin Yulu's offer to escape, knowing that those who help her would pay the price, and instead tries to understand why her mother acts without fear of the White Emperor's response. (Chapters 918–947)

The ceremony exposes the political stakes of her body and succession. Xuanyuan Po enters not to marry her but to prevent anyone else from deciding her future, publicly revealing that she loves Chen. Madam Mu's supposed Great Western Continent match proves to be a screen for an alliance with the Young Demon Lord. Luoluo considers whether a marriage could avert war, but refuses once the young ruler and her mother use the lives of White Emperor City as leverage. She states that ancestral approval cannot replace the choice of the person being married. (Chapters 947–979)

Chen's arrival gives Luoluo institutional support for a decision she has already made. She runs to him, accepts his order that she will not marry, and takes shelter behind the teacher-student relationship that Madam Mu cannot dismiss without openly opposing the Pope. When the Demon Lord attacks, Luoluo remains within Chen's sword domain while sympathetic ministers, generals, and tribes gather behind them. The immediate marriage plan collapses, and her supporters become a visible political faction committed to continued alliance with humanity rather than submission to her mother's arrangement. (Chapters 980–996)

Luoluo then uses palace loyalties and a secret passage to help Chen attack the array sealing her father beneath the Starfall Mountains. She understands that Chen intends Madam Mu to answer for Bie Yanghong and Wuqiong Bi's deaths, yet the confrontation remains personally devastating: the opponent is still her mother. The White Emperor's release reveals that he had already chosen Luoluo as his heir and would not accept her marriage to Xuelao. Madam Mu dies in the wider battle, leaving Luoluo with freedom from the forced marriage but also the grief and dynastic responsibility produced by her parents' schemes. (Chapters 997–1041)

The Demi-human Throne and War

After White Emperor City, Luoluo's position changes from possible successor to the ruler's declared choice. Her father considers her pure bloodline and repaired meridians sufficient to continue the imperial clan, while her unbreakable relationship with Chen makes the human-demi-human alliance safer once she inherits. This protection is also political calculation: Luoluo's personal loyalty has become part of continental strategy. She remains connected to the Orthodox Academy, receives one of Chen's best recovered swords, and is considered for an Orthodoxy office after her eventual accession, although the corpus does not establish that the appointment occurs. During the final war, Luoluo maintains contact with Chen through their paired Heavenly Tome Monoliths and acts where dynastic authority matters most. When princes rebel in the Great Zhou capital, she persuades the North-Pacifying Army not to support them and enters the Imperial Palace while Xuanyuan Po blocks their forces at the Orthodox Academy. Her appearance signals demi-human support for Chen and Yu Ren's order. The intervention cannot by itself decide a struggle involving ancient experts, but it demonstrates that Luoluo now wields alliances and military influence rather than serving only as their promised reward. Luoluo reunites with Chen after the victory and recognizes that he has crossed into the Divine Domain. In the closing years, she is formally conferred the title of Crown Princess, yet her daily life remains centered on reading, cultivation, and painting pear blossoms. She often looks toward the sea of clouds while touching the stone pearl that connects her to Chen, who has departed for the Sacred Light Continent. Xuanyuan Po becomes her personal guard, and she continues cultivating in the hope of one day crossing the necessary threshold and following her teacher beyond their world. (Chapters 1178–1183)

Appearance and personality

Luoluo has a petite, charmingly childish appearance, bright dark eyes, delicate features, and a face repeatedly compared to a cute young tiger. She is introduced as fourteen, but the White Emperor clan counts age from conception and carries children for five years, making her post-birth age five years younger than Chen initially assumes. Five years after their separation, she still looks almost unchanged; the narration attributes this possibility to her blood or the favor of the sea of stars without establishing a precise mechanism. (Chapters 28, 32–33, 426, 980, 995, and 1042)

She is cheerful, generous, affectionate, and persistent enough to cling to Chen's leg when he tries to avoid accepting her. Her childish manner does not prevent political perception: she understands status, palace pressure, and the use of public words earlier than most academy students. As she matures, generosity becomes a willingness to absorb costs herself, while devotion becomes responsibility for the academy, her subjects, and her allies. She can hide grief and love to protect others, but under direct coercion she remains firm that neither family nor ancestral authority can choose her life for her. Abilities and cultivation

Luoluo's exceptional strength comes from the White Emperor bloodline, an immense reserve of true essence, and Chen's solution to the incompatibility between demi-human meridians and human techniques. She is capable of defeating or threatening opponents above her formal realm, but the corpus does not name her exact late-stage realm and never confirms that talent alone removes every threshold in the White Emperor inheritance.

White Emperor bloodline and demi-human physiology

Luoluo is the child of two Divine Domain experts and possesses an unusually pure White Emperor bloodline. Demi-human vessels are naturally strong, simple, and unobstructed, allowing starlight to be absorbed and transformed into true essence without the human Purification process. In Luoluo, this inheritance produces a vast true-essence reserve, a resilient body, and an innate ability to estimate an opponent's strength. At the initial level of Meditation, she survives an upper-level Ethereal Opening assassin long enough to counterattack, although artifacts and Chen's guidance are essential to that survival. The same physiology initially blocks her development. Human techniques expect meridian routes her body does not possess, while the demi-human imperial inheritance has historically created an additional barrier for a female successor. Chen substitutes routes through her actual vessels and later makes a formal breakthrough that permits human cultivation without the former danger; renewed bloodline stimulation then gives her a strong chance to inherit the White Emperor's tyrannical techniques. Years later, courtiers believe she has not reached the fourth revolution of the divine body, but their judgment is presented as an inference, and her exact later mastery remains unstated. Cultivation progression and cross-realm strength

Luoluo is at the initial level of Meditation during the assassination and reaches its upper level after several months under Chen. Her adapted cultivation and bloodline place her fourth on the Proclamation of Azure Sky. Even before breaking into Ethereal Opening, she is treated as a threat to ordinary cultivators in that realm, and a later comparison states that she can fight initial Ethereal Opening while still at Meditation. These comparisons establish unusual combat strength, not a permanent exemption from cultivation gaps or proof of a later named realm. (Chapters 29–32, 74–80, 105, 221, 374, and 443)

Later chapters show Luoluo studying Mount Li sword manuals, receiving instruction from Madam Mu, coordinating through a Heavenly Tome Monolith, and continuing daily cultivation after becoming Crown Princess. They do not explicitly identify when she enters Ethereal Opening, Star Condensation, or the Divine Domain. The conclusion instead says she is working toward a threshold that would let her follow Chen to the Sacred Light Continent. Her latest state is therefore an active, politically powerful cultivator with exceptional potential, not a safely assignable formal realm. (Chapters 921–945, 1110, 1162–1178, and 1183)

Wind and Rain Sword and the Falling Rain Whip

Luoluo uses the Wind and Rain Sword of Mount Zhong through the Falling Rain Whip. The whip can summon wind and droplets into a defensive screen, then condense them into a line for a sword-like thrust. Chen's alternate circulation instructions route true essence through Luoluo's actual organs and vessels rather than the human meridians named in the manual. This lets the flexible weapon straighten into a blade and strike concealed points that he identifies through the stars. The defense is broad, but every movement consumes her true essence and depends on her spiritual control. (Chapters 29–32)

Her mastery develops from guided survival into reproducible technique. At the Ivy Festival, she follows Chen through hundreds of exchanges against Guan Feibai without using true essence, demonstrating precision, memory, and trust. Afterward, she releases the style's most powerful move with true essence, opening a fissure that runs nearly one hundred meters and proving she can execute the human art through her adapted pathways. The technique remains tied to her weapon, reserve, and circulation; it does not let her ignore opponents whose realm, speed, or spatial control prevents the whip from finding a target. Courtcraft and leadership

Luoluo's royal education gives her an instinctive understanding of leverage, appearances, and palace relationships. Early in the academy, she arranges Jin Yulu's protection even after being removed to the Li Palace and recognizes how others use her status. In White Emperor City, she builds a faction among eunuchs, maids, Beast Guards, ministers, and tribes, provides Chen access to the Imperial City's secret routes, and later persuades a Great Zhou frontier army to remain out of a rebellion. These skills depend on loyalty and legitimacy; when Madam Mu controls the palace or ancient experts decide the contest, Luoluo cannot simply command opposition away.
