Falling Rain Whip

The Falling Rain Whip is Luoluo's legendary flexible weapon, capable of gathering wind and rain into precise sword-like attacks. (Chapters 29–30 and 82)

History

Luoluo's weapon at the Orthodox Academy

Luoluo uses the Falling Rain Whip during the demon attack on the Orthodox Academy, following Chen Changsheng's directions to condense wind and raindrops into a single line that finds and wounds a concealed attacker. When the assassin sacrifices his life essence to open the Heavenly Net, she tries to stop it, but the net smashes the whip back and transmits enough force to make her vomit blood. The whip survives and remains her regular weapon: she carries it while defending Chen, challenges Guan Feibai with it at the Ivy Festival, and later wears it at her waist. Abilities and properties

• The whip can gather wind and individual raindrops into a straight line, then deliver sword intent accurately into a concealed point in darkness when guided to the target. (Chapter 30)
• Luoluo can make the flexible weapon behave like a sword: when filled with Qi, a casual lash strikes the ground with sword-like force, while its tip can break the air and stop precisely. (Chapters 78 and 82)
• Its performance depends on the wielder's Qi. When both Luoluo and Guan Feibai are unable to use Qi, the whip's clash with an ordinary longsword leaves their fight unable to continue. (Chapter 81)
• The Falling Rain Whip cannot withstand the damaged Heavenly Net's descending force; the collision throws the whip back in ruin and transmits severe injury to Luoluo. (Chapter 31)
