Liu Wan'er is a Demon General whose warm, virtuous-wife manner never obscures her lethality or devotion to Teng Xiaoming. She pursues human cultivators through the Garden of Zhou and dies beside her husband while shielding Nanke. (Chapters 259–352)

Biography

Virtue and fatal duty

Liu Wan'er introduces herself as a patient wife and speaks in the language of vows even while promising Chen Changsheng that he must die. She and Teng Xiaoming pursue Qi Jian and Zhexiu, coordinating so closely that her flexible wire can immobilize a heavy sword just as Teng attacks. When the ten-thousand-sword dragon descends on Nanke, Liu and Teng know the Garden's laws make full power fatal, but choose duty together. They restore peak Star Condensation and use the Great Art of Body Release to absorb the attack. With their armor broken and bodies already doomed, Liu apologizes for wanting to return home; the couple dies beneath the Garden's lightning. (Chapters 259–267, 300, and 329–340)

Appearance and personality

She appears as a warm, serene middle-aged wife whose smile can resemble a mother waiting at the door. Liu prizes the idea of being virtuous and proper, yet applies it within demon loyalties that include pursuit and killing. Her affectionate teasing of Teng and final regret make the marriage more than a battlefield disguise. (Chapters 259–260, 300, and 327–340)

Abilities and cultivation

Within the Garden, Liu suppresses her true upper or peak Star Condensation strength. Her huge metal pot can cover the battlefield like night, while a soft wire wrapped around the Mountain Sea Sword can immobilize it long enough for Teng's coordinated strike. Returning to full power and using Body Release provides the defense needed against the sword dragon, but both the technique and the Garden's punishment make survival impossible.
