Wayde — Warlock of the Magus World

Wayde, called the Golden Lion, is a rank 5 bloodline Warlock and one of the Warlock Union's principal military leaders. He first enters the story through a powerful Golden Lion clone in the Scarlet Crescent ruins, then becomes Leylin Farlier's contracted ally in the Lava World and eventually recognizes him as the first Bloodline Warlock Monarch in more than fifteen centuries. He is distinct from Wade, the Four Seasons Garden examiner.

Biography

Clone in the Scarlet Crescent ruins

Wayde sends a near-rank-5 clone into the Scarlet Crescent ruins, an investment so expensive and difficult that other Magi initially question whether it can truly be a clone. When Leylin takes the false identity Siebel and appears to have seized the core treasure, Wayde pursues him through the collapsing site. The clone's three-headed Golden Lion form attacks across several elements and tries to draw Leylin into its mouths, but Leylin redirects the pursuit toward the ruins' defenses. An Adamantine Golem and ancient formations injure the clone and expel it. Wayde leaves convinced that “Siebel” was the thief, inadvertently strengthening Leylin's disguise and shifting suspicion away from his real identity. (Chapters 523–533)

Contract for the Lava World

Leylin later needs a rank 5 force capable of restraining Zegna while the Ouroboros Clan is under pressure from Jupiter's Lightning. He hires Wayde and promises the coordinates of the Lava World as payment. The bargain gives Wayde a resource-rich world and gives Leylin space to act without meeting Zegna directly. Wayde leads high-ranked Warlocks against the Mobius Organisation, establishes a foothold beyond the Magus World, and uses the campaign to divert pressure from Leylin's organization. Their alliance is transactional at first, but both fulfill the exchange. (Chapters 543, 572, and 579–589)

Warlock Union leadership

Wayde meets Leylin in his true body alongside Offa and Jeffrey, representing the Warlock Union's senior leadership. He helps explain the long persecution conducted by the Blazing Flame Monarch and judges Leylin as a potential answer to the bloodline factions' decline. When Bevis contests Leylin's authority, Wayde does not join the opposition. After Leylin's advancement, Wayde accepts him as the first Bloodline Warlock Monarch in more than fifteen centuries, placing collective survival above rivalry among rank 5 leaders. Appearance and personality

Wayde's true body is described as completely golden, with short hair standing upright like steel spikes, giving him the appearance of a sunlit war god. His clone becomes an enormous three-headed golden lion, a bloodline form that is visually and mechanically distinct from the human presentation.

In formal conversation Wayde is sunny, charismatic, and capable of practical negotiation. In combat he is proud, relentless, and openly acquisitive when a rare treasure appears. He can nevertheless revise his political priorities: his support for Leylin shows that he recognizes when a stronger bloodline leader offers the Union more than internal competition does. Golden Lion bloodline and rank

Wayde is a rank 5 Radiant Moon Warlock whose ancient Golden Lion bloodline supports a complete beast transformation. The bloodline grants extreme physical presence and inherited innate techniques, making even a remote incarnation dangerous to Morning Star opponents. His true rank and reputation place him among the Union's strongest leaders, but the corpus demonstrates the Golden Lion's detailed combat kit through the clone rather than a full battle by Wayde's main body. Powers shown only by that incarnation should not be silently treated as separate spells cast by his human form. (Chapters 523–525 and 627–628)

Three-headed elemental assault

The Golden Lion clone has three heads capable of releasing flame, ice, and lightning. Using several elements in parallel lets it attack different defenses and occupy a wide area without changing forms. These are inherited bloodline techniques rather than evidence that Wayde separately completed three elemental Magus paths. The clone also opens all three mouths to generate suction compared to a black hole, drawing in matter and even light toward a devouring center. The technique is powerful at containment and capture, but Leylin avoids resolving it directly by using the ruins' environment against the pursuer. (Chapters 523–525)

Near-rank-5 clone

Wayde can create a clone whose strength approaches his own rank. A same-rank or near-same-rank incarnation is rare because it requires extraordinary resources, time, and luck; the clone is therefore a strategic asset, not an effortless projection he can replace after every encounter. It can pursue targets independently, transform, speak, and use Golden Lion innate abilities. Its defeat by an Adamantine Golem and ancient formations shows the limit: approaching rank 5 does not make it immune to prepared high-level defenses, and damage to the clone can force withdrawal without defeating Wayde's main body. Leadership and interworld warfare

Wayde can organize high-ranked Warlocks, negotiate contracts between major factions, and lead an expedition into the Lava World. These capabilities reflect rank, experience, and Union authority rather than a supernatural command spell. The expedition's troops, transport, intelligence, and foothold are collective assets. Wayde supplies leadership and rank 5 deterrence, but he does not personally generate the entire campaign infrastructure. (Chapters 572 and 579–589)

Leylin Farlier: Wayde first hunts him without knowing his identity, later completes a paid alliance, and ultimately recognizes his monarchy.
