Biography

Campaign against the Warlocks

The Monarch leads a central-continent effort to extinguish bloodline Warlock inheritances, forcing the Warlock Union to fortify its Morning Star region. Her campaign is ideological and strategic: she describes bloodlines as contamination, while other Breaking Dawn powers fear what an Emperor-line Warlock might become at Rank 6. Her subordinates Carol, Eugene, and Marriott pursue Leylin Farlier, only to die as his strength and alliances grow. (Chapters 627–634)

Melinda, secretly a divided portion of the Monarch's own truesoul, understands both her injuries and the timing of a weak phase. She recruits Leylin, Spirit Magus Jin, and Gemini siblings Clarke and Joanna, all with grievances or promised Rank 6 resources. The coalition attacks Düz City while the Monarch is absent, kills its last Radiant Moon defense, destroys the tower genie, and plunders laboratories and astral coordinates. (Chapters 630–654)

Taking the capital binds the raiders to continue. Once Düz City falls, none can rely on negotiation to prevent revenge, and the decoded flaming gate reveals the Monarch's refuge. Melinda has therefore converted a coalition assembled for profit into one whose survival seems to require striking the main body before it recovers. (Chapters 651–655)

Battle in the Fiery World

The attackers enter the Fiery World and Alanore Labyrinth, where the Monarch can move through defenses that constrain intruders. Her golden soul force destroys armor, burns spirit puppets, and exposes Jin as an instrument of the Monarch of the Skies. Even while injured, a small amount of fire-law comprehension creates an environment above an ordinary domain: ambient flame responds to her will and rejects other casters' control. (Chapters 655–659)

Joanna self-destructs in an attempt to remove the main body, but the Monarch reconstructs herself through flame and returns at peak Rank 6. She forms a sword from law-fire and draws Fiery World origin force into Erosion of the Sun, producing a black destructive core within the blazing truesoul. The coalition's apparent killing blow thus restores rather than eliminates the strongest opponent on the field. (Chapters 657–660)

Leylin uses dreamforce to restrain the Monarch's truesoul for only three seconds. That interval is enough for Melinda to burn away her temporary body and enter the original one as a white soul. The attack works because both conscients derive from a once-shared truesoul and because outside force has created an opening; it is not an ordinary possession that Melinda or Leylin could perform on any Rank 6 target. As the two conscients fight internally, Leylin tears away an arm and devours bloodline energy, memories, and part of the fire-law comprehension. He stops short of a killing blow because existential danger could force the rival soul fragments to compromise and attack him together. His retreat preserves Melinda's incentive to keep suppressing the original conscient while leaving the body too damaged for immediate pursuit. (Chapters 661–663)

A divided aftermath

The body survives, but Düz City is destroyed, its organization disperses, and the truesoul is cracked by separation, reintegration, internal combat, and devouring. The stolen flesh is so densely composed of concentrated Rank 6 flame and law that Leylin needs months merely to digest it. He estimates that full recovery may take centuries and may not preserve the former Rank 6 condition. (Chapters 662–668)

Later appearances identify Melinda as the controlling personality of the restored body, with the arm regenerated and the soul only partly healed. The former Monarch's independent will has therefore been suppressed or eliminated rather than returning to public rule. The surviving Rank 6 existence retains part of the body and fire path, but not the original campaign, organization, or undamaged law comprehension. (Chapters 668, 769–772)

Appearance and personality

The Monarch's manifested body is female, with a golden truesoul compared to a scorching sun tens of times larger and qualitatively denser than a Radiant Moon soul. Her presence is detached, ruthless, and purifying; she speaks as a judge and regards bloodline Warlocks and discarded soul fragments as contamination to erase.

Her identity is psychologically divided. Melinda's changing ages and emotions originate in portions cut from the Monarch's soul, while the original conscient retains a severe, extremist will. Excision removes traits from the main personality but allows the discarded part to mature into an enemy with the same intimate memories.

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Peak Rank 6 and fire-law comprehension

The Monarch is a peak Breaking Dawn Magus who has begun comprehending the law of fire. Rank 6 soul force is vastly denser than Radiant Moon power, while even partial law comprehension creates a qualitative advantage over opponents using elemental spells without authority. She has not reached Rank 7 or completed a law, so injury and soul division can still drive her below normal Rank 6 output. (Chapters 630–631, 651, 659–663)

Elemental sovereignty

When the Monarch declares authority over fire, scarlet particles form a plane-like field stronger than a Morning Star domain. Fire gains an apparent will aligned with her, refuses weaker summons, and pushes away other elements. This denies enemy fire users their normal environment while multiplying her own attacks. The effect is tied to law comprehension and presence; it does not establish ownership of fire in every world after her defeat. (Chapter 659)

Fiery World origin force

The Fiery World recognizes her flame path and supplies world-origin energy during battle. Drawing that reserve strengthens law attacks beyond what personal soul force alone could sustain and gives home-field advantage inside the Alanore Labyrinth. The connection is contextual: invading enemies target her there because she is weakened, and later body-and-soul damage prevents origin force from simply erasing the consequences. (Chapters 652–660)

Rebirth through flame

After Joanna's self-destruction destroys her manifested body, fire gathers and reconstructs the Monarch with healed injuries and peak Rank 6 output. The technique resembles an elemental resurrection, converting surrounding flame and law authority into restored flesh. It does not protect her from truesoul invasion or the removal of law-saturated body parts once dreamforce immobilizes the soul. (Chapter 660–662)

Erosion of the Sun and law-fire sword

The Monarch creates a longsword from raging flame, then forms black destructive force at the center of her sun-like truesoul. Erosion of the Sun combines opposed qualities inside law-fire and releases an attack capable of obliterating Radiant Moon defenses. Fiery World origin force further amplifies it. The technique requires control of her truesoul and law field, which Leylin's brief dreamforce seal is designed to interrupt. (Chapters 660–661)

Truesoul splitting

Her ancient soul method separates a solidified truesoul into independently embodied conscients. It can discard emotions, instability, or unwanted traits while leaving the main self functional, but the separated part gains its own memories and goals. Killing it can damage their shared foundation, and it cannot be guaranteed to remain obedient. Melinda's return proves the central failure mode: the discarded soul knows every weakness and can reclaim the original body. (Chapters 630, 660–663, 772–787)

Alanore Labyrinth and organizational power

The Monarch controls Düz City, biological laboratories holding Morning Star-level experiments, Radiant Moon subordinates, a fiery astral gate, and the Alanore Labyrinth in which only its owner moves freely. These resources isolate enemies and project rule across worlds. They are institutional rather than innate: killing defenders, destroying the tower genie, and decoding the gate dismantles them before the final truesoul battle begins. (Chapters 632, 651–657)
