Isabel
Biography
The elder cousin
Isabel is Leylin Faulen's elder cousin and an affectionate protector during his childhood at the Faulen estate. Her energy and talent make a religious career with the Grain Goddess seem possible, offering the family prestige beyond its island holdings. That path ends when a demonic ceremony destroys her immediate family. Isabel survives the ritual with sacrificial power and demonic influence fused into her body, carrying both the strength and the trauma of the event. (Chapters 790, 797, and 800)
When she returns, her loyalty to the surviving Faulens is fierce but no longer gentle. She wants vengeance and possesses violent power that established churches would treat as corruption. Leylin does not demand purification on their terms. He evaluates the altered body as a resource to stabilize and directs Isabel toward enemies whose destruction will strengthen the house. (Chapters 797–807)
Scarlet Tiger
Isabel joins Leylin's campaign against pirates with strength beyond an ordinary warrior. Scales and sacrificial enhancement let her survive and dominate brutal close combat, while her anger makes pirate war a usable outlet rather than a hidden danger to the estate. Leylin gives her command of privateers, matching her direct authority to people unlikely to respect a conventional noble officer. (Chapters 807–818)
The Scarlet Tigers develop into a feared fleet. Isabel learns navigation, raids, discipline, and the political distinction between piracy and violence authorized for Faulen expansion. Her personal force keeps dangerous subordinates aligned, but command also requires accepting Leylin's larger plans and leaving targets alone when attacking them would provoke a god or a power beyond the family's current reach. (Chapters 818–935)
Daughter of Red Dragon
The red-dragon materials Leylin acquires provide a more stable path for Isabel's altered body. Her dragon blood is strengthened through the Red Dragon Sword and related treatment, producing a Dragon Warlock rather than allowing demonic corruption to determine every change. She gains red-dragon spellcasting, scales, flame, and Dragon's Breath, while Leylin suppresses destabilizing influences and monitors compatibility. (Chapters 925–935)
Isabel demonstrates the new bloodline against powerful enemies. She activates inherited spell abilities to amplify flame and uses the sword as both weapon and bloodline focus. The path is effective because the donor was a legendary red dragon, but it is not free of dependence: purification, equipment, and Leylin's intervention are central to its stability. (Chapters 933–990)
Dragon King's Mystic Might carries her into the legendary realm and gives her the title Daughter of Red Dragon. Her belief in Kukulkan becomes absolute as Leylin's divine identity emerges. Familial loyalty, gratitude for stabilization, and religious devotion merge, making her both a legendary commander and one of the church's most dependable believers. (Chapters 935–990)
Commander of the church
On Debanks Island, Isabel serves as the military counterpart to Tiff. She directs campaigns and violent enforcement while the pope builds clergy and government. The division lets Kukulkan expand through both conquest and conversion, and Isabel can operate without confusing personal command with priestly authority. (Chapters 991–1043)
She protects Leylin's forces through his ascension and later commands devil hunters and infernal troops. Continued purification raises her dragon blood near the peak of the legendary realm, described as an ancient-beast-like pressure. That growth remains bloodline-based rather than divine spellcasting: she worships Leylin, but her demonstrated combat platform is the Dragon Warlock body he cultivated. (Chapters 1043–1159)
Isabel receives the fallen Rafiniya as a fellow senior commander. During the final preparations, Leylin assigns both women to defend his kingdom and explicitly forbids crossing its boundaries without orders. Isabel's latest role is therefore not an uncontrolled pirate queen but a disciplined legendary general within a divine and infernal state. (Chapters 1157–1159)
Appearance and personality
Isabel is introduced with long golden hair and blue eyes. Sacrificial and draconic development add scales and a physically oppressive aura. As a later commander she wears crimson armor and a cape resembling flame, visually joining her red-dragon blood to military office. (Chapters 790, 807–818, and 1159)
She is direct, fierce, proud, and intensely protective of family. Trauma makes her revenge-driven and willing to command violent people, but does not destroy her capacity for affection, discipline, or strategic restraint. Her loyalty to Leylin is unusually complete because he is simultaneously cousin, healer of her unstable power, military patron, and god. (Chapters 797–818 and 935–1159)
Magic, bloodline, and abilities
Sacrificial enhancement and demonic instability
The ceremony that destroys Isabel's family leaves power embedded in her body. It produces enhanced strength, ferocity, and scales, making her more dangerous than an ordinary warrior before formal Dragon Warlock development. The power is trauma-derived and unstable; demonic influence threatens to determine her progression if left untreated. (Chapters 797–807)
Leylin suppresses and redirects that influence rather than simply removing all benefit. This makes the early enhancement a foundation for later bloodline work, but not a separate perfected class. Its limitation is the risk of corruption and emotional destabilization, which is why Isabel's development depends on expert intervention. (Chapters 807–935)
Legendary red-dragon bloodline
Isabel inherits blood from a legendary red dragon and develops as a Dragon Warlock. The line grants a stronger body, protective scales, fire affinity, Dragon's Breath, and inherited spell-like abilities. Activating the bloodline increases the force of her flames and lets her apply draconic magic without following the same preparation as a wizard's learned spellbook. (Chapters 925–935)
Bloodline strength follows quality and purification. Leylin repeatedly refines the line, eventually bringing Isabel near the peak of legendary power. It remains below a full dragon's theoretical total inheritance unless demonstrated otherwise, and no transformation into an independent red dragon is confirmed. Her latest state is a highly purified legendary Dragon Warlock. (Chapters 990–1159)
Dragon King's Mystic Might
Dragon King's Mystic Might is the advancement method that carries Isabel into the legendary realm. It works with the dragon blood and its physical/spellcasting potential, consolidating a stable professional path out of her earlier mixed condition. Leylin's guidance and resources are required to make that route safe and effective. (Chapters 935–990)
The legendary breakthrough magnifies existing capabilities rather than granting every possible dragon ability. Isabel continues fighting with sword, armor, flame, and bloodline spells. Later purification improves the same foundation, while further advancement beyond the legendary peak is not demonstrated within the scope. (Chapters 990–1159)
Red Dragon Sword and item-derived effects
The Red Dragon Sword is Isabel's signature weapon and a focus for her bloodline development. Its dragon-derived material and power reinforce her compatibility with red-dragon abilities while providing a blade suitable for her physical strength. These effects belong partly to the item: losing access to the sword would not erase her bloodline, but the weapon's amplification and developmental role should not be counted as innate flesh. (Chapters 925–935)
Naval and infernal command
Isabel builds the Scarlet Tigers, conducts privateering campaigns, commands church armies on Debanks Island, and later directs devil hunters. Her authority combines personal strength with knowledge of violent crews, naval logistics, and clear battlefield orders. It does not grant magical control over subordinates, and her final deployment remains bounded by Leylin's instruction to defend rather than leave the kingdom. (Chapters 807–818, 991–1043, and 1157–1159)
