Biography

A family in decline

Freya enters as a marquis of the Ouroboros Clan, a disciple of the Morning Star Emma, and the active head of the Faens family's future. The family carries the Giant Kemoyin Serpent bloodline, but generations have diluted it until descendants are increasingly unable to awaken. In a society where inherited purity helps determine a Warlock's upper limit, decline threatens not only combat strength but title, marriage prospects, faction standing, and continuity. (Chapters 401–410)

She notices Leylin because he represents the opposite condition: a newly arrived first-generation Warlock with unusually pure Giant Kemoyin blood. Freya's early interest combines attraction with deliberate lineage planning. A match could give her family heirs with stronger blood and align her with a rapidly advancing student of Gilbert. She pursues him openly enough to expose that aim, yet Leylin's control over fertility and suspicion of other nobles prevent her from turning opportunity into an immediate arrangement. Freya's calculation is not unique cruelty but the political language of the clan. Bloodline both accelerates advancement and imposes a ceiling; weaker descendants can reach ordinary stages more easily, then find the same inheritance becoming an obstacle. She therefore treats marriage, resources, and research as tools for preserving people whose magical future is literally carried in reproduction. (Chapters 411–443)

Bloodline crystal and advancement

When Leylin produces a bloodline crystal, Freya bargains for it with rare resources, formations, and political value. The crystal supplies refined hereditary material rather than a temporary battle enhancement. It eases the Faens family's decline and improves the possibility that later descendants will awaken the Giant Kemoyin line. The exchange gives Freya a concrete route to preservation even before Leylin accepts a personal partnership. (Chapters 443–475)

Freya herself reaches the Crystal Phase of Rank 3. At this stage spiritual force is condensed into stable crystals, improving defense, spell amplification, and reserves over the Hydro Phase. Her bloodline lets her fight above the ordinary expectations for her rank, but purity and talent still matter for any future Morning Star breakthrough. Advancement does not solve the family problem by itself; one powerful marquis cannot guarantee a bloodline's next generation. (Chapters 443–479)

From Ancient Blood Serpent Castle she builds the Blood Serpent organization and holds a distinct faction within Ouroboros. The castle becomes both family seat and strategic base. When multiple Crystal Phase attackers target it, Freya cannot rely on the clan's divided nobles and turns to Leylin, the one peer she believes will actually intervene. His defense preserves the castle, while the crisis reveals how her earlier pride has left her politically isolated. (Chapters 475–477)

Trust during the crisis

Freya's reliance on Leylin develops beyond lineage strategy. She tells him directly that he is the only person she trusts when factional rivals refuse aid, and her concern when he accepts the dangerous enforcer office is personal as well as political. She still tries to advance the possibility of children, but Leylin recognizes and rejects the crude methods she leaves visible. Their relationship grows through mutually understood ambition rather than either person mistaking the other for innocent. (Chapter 477)

The disappearance of the Ouroboros Morning Stars collapses the structure that protected every subordinate faction. Freya responds by defending Leylin's territories and interests while the clan is attacked from outside and divided within. That support consumes resources her own family needs, making loyalty costly rather than ceremonial. Preserving his base also preserves the strongest candidate to restore the clan, so affection and rational strategy point in the same direction. (Chapters 493–578)

Leylin returns as a Morning Star capable of rescuing Gilbert and reversing the clan's decline. Freya's choice is vindicated: the ally she protected becomes the center around which Ouroboros reorganizes. Her status shifts from a marquis seeking a pure-blooded match to a trusted partner within the emerging ruler's household. (Chapters 560–578)

Wife of the bloodline emperor

Freya becomes Leylin's wife and bears Syre, an heir who receives the Serpent Emperor bloodline. She raises him during Leylin's long absence and continues functioning as a clan matriarch. When Leylin returns after Purgatory, her first concern is whether the husband she expected has truly become the new bloodline progenitor and whether the old shackles have ended for their family. (Chapters 578 and 766–767)

Leylin clarifies that only he broke the shackles outright. Freya and the other Kemoyin Warlocks have had their origin redirected from the Snake Dowager to him; with his assistance they can now reach Rank 6, while Syre's inherited line has greater potential because it comes directly from Leylin. This frees Freya from one progenitor's ceiling but does not make her self-originating or instantly raise her rank. (Chapters 766–767)

Leylin further restructures Syre toward the Infinite Serpent branch. Freya's family project is thus fulfilled in a form larger than she planned: her child becomes a principal heir to an independent lineage, and the declining Faens concern is absorbed into a new bloodline order. Her own latest confirmed rank remains Crystal Phase Rank 3; future Rank 6 advancement is a possibility enabled by Leylin, not a demonstrated achievement. (Chapter 767)

Appearance and personality

Freya initially has a youthful, almost childish face contrasted with the heroic bearing and tight hunting clothes of an active Warlock noble. At Ancient Blood Serpent Castle she can immediately recover a marquis's authority after private embarrassment. By Leylin's later return she carries the steadier presence of wife, mother, and political leader. (Chapters 401, 477, and 766)

She is calculating about marriage and bloodline survival, proud enough to alienate potential allies, and direct about desire. Those traits coexist with durable loyalty. Once Leylin becomes the only peer she trusts, Freya spends family resources to defend his interests and raises their child through his absence. Her development lies less in abandoning calculation than in extending it to a relationship she values for more than breeding potential. (Chapters 443–578 and 766–767)

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Kemoyin's Pupil and Rank 3 Crystal Phase

Freya follows the Giant Kemoyin Serpent Warlock path through Kemoyin's Pupil. The meditation technique develops spiritual force while awakening the inherited serpent record, granting faster early advancement and stronger combat characteristics than an ordinary Magus of equal rank. By Crystal Phase, her spiritual force is condensed into durable crystals that reinforce spell power, force fields, and reserves. (Chapters 401–443 and 475–479)

Rank is not identical to unrestricted combat dominance. Bloodline purity, individual talent, preparation, and opponents' abilities still matter, and Morning Star requires condensing the accumulated path into a point mass. Freya is confirmed at Crystal Phase but not shown completing that transition. (Chapters 411–412 and 475–479)

Giant Kemoyin Serpent bloodline

The bloodline supplies poison affinity, serpent traits, an Eye of Petrification inherited through the line, and the potential for a full Giant Kemoyin transformation. Its strength comes from ancestry: purer first-generation blood offers greater assistance and a higher ceiling, while diluted descendants may fail to awaken. This is why Freya treats Leylin's pure blood and the bloodline crystal as strategic resources. (Chapters 401–443)

The same inheritance contains bloodline shackles. Descendants cannot naturally exceed the ultimate rank of their source and remain subject to the Snake Dowager's deeper control. After Purgatory, Leylin redirects Freya's origin to himself, removing the old ceiling with his assistance. This is a change in potential and allegiance, not proof that Freya immediately gains Rank 6 power or Leylin's independent Targaryen abilities. (Chapters 665–767)

Bloodline management and political command

Freya understands magical genealogy, lineage decline, and the use of refined bloodline material. She negotiates for a crystal capable of improving descendants and manages the risks of succession through marriage and inheritance. The crystal's effect is item-derived; it stabilizes family prospects rather than becoming an innate combat spell she can cast. (Chapters 410–475)

As leader of Blood Serpent and Ancient Blood Serpent Castle, she directs Warlocks, allocates family resources, defends territory, and navigates the Ouroboros faction system. Her command cannot overcome six Crystal Phase attackers without outside help, but it preserves institutions and later supports Leylin during the clan's leaderless crisis. (Chapters 475–578)
