Biography

Enemy of the Ouroboros Warlocks

Cyril intercepts Leylin Farlier, Robin, and their companions after the Forgotten Land expedition, suppressing them with a Morning Star domain that isolates the region, blocks elemental contact, and leaves the weaker Warlocks almost unable to move. He intends to punish them over the resources lost there, but Gilbert cancels his domain and prevents the attack. The intervention saves the group without settling the grievance. (Chapter 435)

Cyril later uses his status at the Azure Mountain auction to suppress all competing bids for the Wing of the Sun inheritance and Sun's Child bloodline relic. He values tangible gains over reputation and accepts only the minimum institutional warning needed to keep the purchase. The incident reinforces his established pattern: he exploits the difference in rank whenever stronger peers are unlikely to intervene. (Chapters 457–458)

Death after Leylin's breakthrough

During the assault on the Ouroboros headquarters, Cyril enters only after the allied army has gained the advantage. His domain halves or blocks the defenders' access to elemental power, allowing the attackers to overrun their positions, while his projected claws break the city's failing barrier. Leylin's return and newly formed Morning Star domain remove that suppression. Cyril refuses withdrawal because old resentment, the alliance behind him, and confidence in his experience make a retreat before a new Warlock unacceptable. (Chapters 501–502)

Leylin moves their duel into a spatial crevice to protect the headquarters. Cyril opens with Demon's Wail, a soul-force-powered black pike, and then combines four innate spells into the meteor-based Aerial Meteor. Leylin's bloodline defenses break the pike, wound Cyril, and overpower the Arcane Art in a direct clash. Cyril is killed and beheaded; his remaining rank 3 doppelgänger is subsequently destroyed, leaving no viable continuation of his main identity. (Chapters 502–505)

Reputation after death

Cyril's death immediately dissolves the coalition at Phosphorescence Swamp and removes the authority holding Nefas together. Rival Magi loot and divide his city, while Leylin takes the Wing of the Sun relic Cyril had coerced from the auction. The victory matters beyond one duel because it converts Cyril's accumulated resources and political deterrence into proof of Leylin's arrival among Morning Stars. (Chapters 505–508)

Other Magi continue using Cyril's fall as the benchmark for Leylin's strength, calling Leylin the strongest Kemoyin Warlock because he killed an established Demon Hunter immediately after reaching Morning Star. The title and reputation Cyril used to intimidate weaker Magi therefore survive chiefly as a measure of the opponent who defeated him. (Chapters 523–532 and 560–590)

Appearance and personality

Cyril carries the confidence and severity implied by the title Demon Hunter. He is contemptuous of lower-ranked Warlocks and willing to pressure them until an equal power intervenes.

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Cyril is an experienced Morning Star Magus whose known system combines a suppressive domain, soul-force weapon spells, and a four-spell Arcane Art. The corpus supports those specific mechanics; it does not explain the origin of the title “Demon Hunter” as a separate class or grant him generic anti-demon powers.

Morning Star domain

Cyril's domain isolates a region and interferes with lower-ranked Magi's elemental affinity and spiritual force. Against Leylin's pre-Morning-Star group, it reduces effective power to about rank 1 and prevents movement; on the battlefield it halves elemental gathering even for Crystal Phase Warlocks, enabling Cyril's allies to break the defense. An equal Morning Star domain cancels the effect, as both Gilbert and the newly advanced Leylin demonstrate. (Chapters 435 and 501–502)

Demon's Wail

This rank 4 spell forms a long black pike whose tip emits demonic cries. Cyril throws it as black lightning and drives it with Morning Star soul force, producing destructive turbulence in a spatial crevice. The spell is a direct penetrating attack rather than a demonstrated curse: Leylin's Bloodline Shield bites through its tip and causes the pike to explode, proving that a sufficiently strong rank 4 defense can counter it. Aerial Meteor

Cyril forms his Morning Star Arcane Art by combining Chaos Forcefield, Meteor Force, Celestial Explosion, and Rites of Turbulence through his point mass. The fusion manifests as an enormous burning meteor that crosses the void. It is his final and most destructive technique, but it loses in a frontal collision with Leylin's Kemoyin Serpent Transformation, whose bloodline body and Arcane Art provide greater force. (Chapters 503–504)

Cyril also maintains a rank 3 doppelgänger, which offers continuity after the main body's death but cannot preserve his Morning Star standing or deter his enemies. The clone is destroyed soon afterward, marking it as a limited reserve rather than resurrection at full power. (Chapters 504–505)
