Biography
Military defector
Clive is Javis's older brother and the retired head of the imperial headquarters' anti-air team. His former connections give him access to Project X and the Tree of Life plans, which reveal an attempt to implant the Shadow Weave into humanity and merge all souls into a controllable hive mind. Although that system might restore his vegetative third brother, Clive refuses to revive him into a world without independent thought and organises dissenting soldiers into a secret resistance (Chapters 1092–1093).
He approaches Bobbi's group behind a shadow-pulse jammer and earns provisional trust by giving them Silver Mountain Research Institute's coordinates, passcodes, and map. Later, Clive's soldiers join the bloodline carriers and other rebel factions. He uses military prestige to delay loyalist troops, places allies at transport hubs and the Ministry of Defence, and helps make an otherwise impossible infiltration of the capital practical (Chapters 1093, 1098–1100).
Brothers and sacrifice
Clive confronts Javis inside Special Forces headquarters and continues trying to redeem him even after Javis kills his own subordinates. The brothers duel, but the result is not a clean victory: Javis has an opportunity to kill Clive and relents at the end. Before dying he gives Clive a backdoor into the palace robots and information about the Tree of Life. The wounded Clive rejoins Xavier and the rebels, grieving rather than celebrating (Chapters 1100–1101).
When the Tree of Life protects its twelve core pearls, Clive identifies the brief interval before its second and third growth stages make resistance impossible. He activates a platinum Space Reversal Pulse card and charges the barrier, turning to dust in the explosion. His sacrifice does not destroy the Tree by itself; it contributes to a path built by multiple older fighters so Xavier can reach the cores (Chapters 1103–1104).
Appearance and personality
Clive is a grey-haired older military man who retains a straight bearing and a blood-and-iron presence. He is blunt and operationally decisive, yet compassion defines the choices that separate him from Javis. Guilt over the accident that injured their third brother never disappears, but he rejects both authoritarian resurrection and revenge, repeatedly offering Javis a way back.
Magic, bloodline, and abilities
Clive has extraordinary eyesight capable of noticing a spreading genetic reaction before nearby soldiers do, and his released aura is strong enough to duel Javis in close combat. The chapters do not name his bloodline, martial technique, or exact rank, and Javis's final hesitation means the duel cannot establish Clive as the stronger brother (Chapter 1100).
His greatest demonstrated strengths are military rather than supernatural: knowledge of anti-air operations, Project X, palace security, robot systems, codes, and mobilisation routes. Former prestige lets his faction stall units and infiltrate important infrastructure, but Clive cannot simply command the whole army to rebel. The Space Reversal Pulse that creates his final opening is platinum-card technology and consumes him in use, not a repeatable innate spatial ability (Chapters 1092–1103).
