Bobbi

Bobbi is a Thousand Bears City official who secretly commands forces for the Bloodline Alliance. Her public authority gives the resistance access to examinations, records, and government facilities, while her ancient enchanting-witch bloodline lets her fight beside its veteran carriers. She becomes one of the central leaders of the revolt against the Shadow Empire and dies shielding the final advance on the Tree of Life.

Biography

Hidden inside the examination system

Bobbi first appears as a fair-haired invigilator during a professional licensing examination. Under direct surveillance, she and Crowley conceal their real coordination behind ordinary official conduct and coded personal remarks. Their immediate objective is to keep bloodline carriers from being exposed by the practical test, which could place them in the Empire's hands. Bobbi also watches Xavier, recognises that he may be one of the candidates they need, and preserves her cover rather than approaching him openly. (Chapter 1077)

When Xavier reaches the Bloodline Alliance, Bobbi tests his ability and motives instead of accepting him on reputation alone. Mastery of Snakebite convinces her that his bloodline has awakened far enough to be useful. She grants him access to equipment, directs the attack on a Special Forces base, and physically shocks him back to attention when panic threatens the operation. Once the raid turns dangerous, she orders the base evacuated and destroyed rather than sacrificing the entire cell to preserve one position. (Chapters 1084–1086)

Crowley's trust and the Kerallen campaign

Crowley entrusts Bobbi with both Xavier's guidance and the effort to rescue Jill. In public she answers with sarcasm and discipline; in private, his departure leaves her lonely enough to cry, revealing affection that neither of them has resolved. That attachment never displaces command responsibility. Bobbi continues assigning rescue teams, supporting operations aimed at Xavier's parents, and organising the Alliance's approach to Kerallen. (Chapters 1086–1087 and 1092)

She treats new allies with the same caution she showed Xavier. When Clive offers information about imperial research, Bobbi first attacks and tests his reactions, keeps an encirclement ready, and accepts an exchange of intelligence rather than blind loyalty. His disk supplies maps and passcodes, which she transfers to the Alliance's systems before leading the resulting strike. Crowley's return gives her visible relief, but she remains part of the command structure that joins bloodline fighters with military rebels. (Chapters 1092–1094)

Revolt and sacrifice

Bobbi participates in the assault on the imperial palace as both field commander and bloodline combatant. The rebellion must fight through enhanced defenders while the Tree of Life expands its influence through the Weave. At the final tower, she identifies the twelve guarded pearls as the likely core rather than wasting the surviving force on the much larger tree itself. The decision focuses every remaining sacrifice on creating a narrow route for Xavier to reach the captives. (Chapters 1098–1103)

Crowley spends his life force opening the first part of that route, but the Tree's soul-extracting branches continue attacking the survivors. Bobbi finally gives him the answer their relationship never reached in peacetime: she says that she will marry him, leaps from the bloodline serpent, and extends a pair of dark green butterfly wings. Their surrounding lustre withstands the onslaught long enough for Xavier and Crowley to reach the platform. The defence consumes the last of her life, making her death a deliberate exchange of one remaining fighter for the chance to free Jill, destroy the pearls, and stop the Tree's expansion. (Chapter 1103)

Appearance and personality

Bobbi is fair-haired, about a head taller than Xavier, and has a slender waist emphasised by her close official uniform. Her beauty and government role help her pass as part of the imperial establishment. At the Tree of Life, her bloodline manifests visibly as a pair of dazzling dark green butterfly wings surrounded by a matching lustre. (Chapters 1077, 1084, and 1103)

She is sharp-tongued, impatient with hesitation, and deliberately suspicious. Bobbi tests recruits, interrogates unexpected allies, maintains backup even during negotiations, and abandons compromised facilities quickly. This severity protects people rather than treating them as expendable: she tries to steady Xavier, keeps him informed about Jill, arranges aid for his family, and accepts responsibility for younger carriers after Crowley leaves. Her guarded affection for Crowley only becomes explicit in the moment she chooses to die beside him. (Chapters 1084–1093 and 1103)

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Ancient enchanting-witch bloodline

Bobbi carries the bloodline of an ancient enchanting witch. The source establishes that ancestry and its value to the Bloodline Alliance, but does not explain a charm system, spell list, or automatic control over other minds. Her authority over Alliance fighters comes from command and experience; it should not be treated as proof that she magically enchants subordinates. (Chapter 1084)

Her bloodline does give her a transformation revealed in the final battle. Dark green butterfly wings extend from her back in midair and generate a weak-looking green lustre that nevertheless withstands the Tree of Life's soul attacks for a short time. The defence is measured by what it enables rather than by defeating the Tree: it preserves a path under overwhelming pressure until Xavier and Crowley reach the pearls. Its cost is fatal, and the corpus does not show that Bobbi could sustain or repeat it under ordinary conditions. (Chapter 1103)

Projectiles and high-speed movement

Bobbi can throw a heated projectile or stone with enough force that Xavier must intercept it when she tests an uncertain situation. She can also transform her moving silhouette into a hurricane-like rush to pursue him immediately afterward. These techniques show ranged pressure and rapid movement, but their exact spell names, energy source, and maximum range are not supplied. They are therefore distinct demonstrations rather than a fully documented elemental magic system. (Chapter 1092)

Bloodline combat and resilience

Bobbi is physically strong enough to strike Xavier back to clarity during a crisis and survives at the front of raids involving veteran carriers, imperial Special Forces, and palace defenders. Her final barrier technique withstands attacks capable of extracting souls from ordinary rebels. The story does not give her a formal rank, so her demonstrated actions are a safer measure of capability than assigning her an unsupported tier. (Chapters 1085 and 1098–1103)

Infiltration, intelligence, and command

Her most consistently developed skill is operational rather than magical. Bobbi uses official status to work inside the licensing system, communicates through codes while watched, recognises when a base must be destroyed, tests Clive before accepting intelligence, and moves maps and passcodes from his disk into the Alliance network. She also coordinates evacuations and multi-cell assaults. These methods depend on credentials, preparation, and other Alliance members; they are not powers granted automatically by her bloodline. (Chapters 1077, 1084–1086, and 1092–1101)

Relationships

  • Crowley: Bobbi's long-standing comrade and unresolved love. He entrusts people and missions to her; she finally accepts a future with him just before both spend themselves opening Xavier's route.
  • Xavier: A recruit she tests, equips, disciplines, and protects. Bobbi treats his power as valuable but refuses to let panic or personal urgency dictate Alliance operations.
  • Jill: Xavier's captive sister and one of the children inside the twelve pearls. Rescuing her is part of the objective for which Bobbi sacrifices herself.
  • Clive: An imperial defector whose information Bobbi verifies under pressure. She accepts his maps and passcodes without surrendering operational caution.
  • Bloodline Alliance: Bobbi is not only a fighter but one of its commanders, responsible for personnel, intelligence, evacuation, and coordination with the wider rebellion.

Items

  • Government credentials and uniform: The visible basis of Bobbi's Thousand Bears City cover and her access to the examination system. They enable infiltration but provide no supernatural protection. (Chapters 1077 and 1084)
  • Clive's data disk: A temporary carrier for maps and passcodes concerning imperial research facilities. Bobbi connects it to the Alliance's equipment and transfers the intelligence rather than using the disk as a weapon. (Chapter 1093)
  • Alliance equipment stores: Bobbi authorises Xavier's access to gear for the Special Forces raid. The stores belong to the organisation and illustrate her command authority, not a personal collection of artifacts. (Chapter 1084)
