Melinda

Biography

Zegna's hidden teacher

Melinda remains absent from conventional records despite existing for thousands of years. She helps Zegna reach Radiant Moon, assists in the creation of Jupiter's Lightning, and embeds her influence in the female face on his arm. When the depleted Pond of Lamentation turns on Zegna, she allows her student to die and takes control of his organization, immediately ending its war with the Ouroboros Clan. (Chapters 587, 628–630)

She approaches Leylin Farlier as Jupiter's Lightning's new ruler, shifting between childish delight, mature calculation, and cold authority. Melinda claims enmity with the Blazing Flame Monarch and invites Leylin to kill a Rank 6 Monarch, then deliberately draws out the Monarch's clone to test whether he can survive. Her first alliance offer is therefore also an experiment in which the prospective ally bears the risk. (Chapters 630–634)

Coalition against a Monarch

Melinda knows the Blazing Flame Monarch's lair, defenses, law progression, and periodic weakness because she was originally part of the same truesoul. She recruits Leylin, the Spirit Magus Jin He, and the siblings Clarke and Joanna, selecting allies with personal grievances and peak Radiant Moon-level force. She promises access to Law Comprehension Crystals and times the attack for a window of roughly one to three months when the Monarch may fall below normal Rank 6 output. (Chapters 632–652)

The coalition begins by devastating Düz City and stripping away the Monarch's remaining defenses. Melinda uses Jupiter's Lightning personnel to erect formations and buy time, then guides the group through terrain she knows intimately. Her information is accurate, but never complete: she withholds the fact that the target is her main body and that the real prize is control of the reunited existence. (Chapters 652–656)

The divided truesoul returns

The confrontation reveals that the original Blazing Flame Monarch used truesoul splitting to remove part of herself. Melinda became an independent conscient with her own memories and aims, while the main soul retained the body and law of fire. Melinda's plan is to have the coalition weaken that body, destroy or suppress the original conscient, and install herself as the controlling half. (Chapters 656–661)

When the Monarch recovers more power than expected, Melinda burns away her damaged flesh and sends her white soul directly into the main body. Leylin's dreamforce restraint gives her only seconds, and the merge becomes an internal struggle rather than a clean possession. Melinda suppresses the original conscient, but Leylin uses the same opening to devour an arm, bloodline, soul material, and part of the fire-law comprehension before escaping. (Chapters 660–663)

Melinda emerges with the Monarch's Rank 6 body but severe physical and truesoul wounds. The original conscient is effectively defeated, yet the reunited soul is cracked, its law comprehension diminished, and its immediate ability to pursue Leylin compromised. Her victory is therefore genuine control rather than absorption into another personality, but it comes with damage requiring centuries of recovery. (Chapters 662–668)

Recovery and exchange with Leylin

Years later Melinda has regenerated her arm, restored her soul to roughly eighty percent, and stabilized at Rank 6. Leylin has advanced even further, so revenge is no longer rational. She attends his ceremony, attempts to repair relations, and trades a detailed discussion of truesoul splitting for his help healing concealed damage. (Chapters 769–772)

Her technique becomes one foundation of Leylin's World of Gods reincarnation method. It can divide a truesoul into an independently thinking clone, but cannot guarantee obedience; Leylin must combine it with Ignox's control technique, A.I. Chip simulation, and world-origin transformation. Melinda's legacy is therefore indispensable but incomplete, and her own rebellion remains the clearest warning about using it unmodified. (Chapters 772–787)

Appearance and personality

Melinda alternates between the appearance and manner of a carefree girl and the cold presence of an ancient Magus. The shifts reflect an independently developed soul with unstable or deliberately compartmentalized expression rather than lack of intelligence.

She is persuasive, patient, and exceptionally secretive. Melinda can nurture a student for centuries, sacrifice him when useful, and assemble allies while concealing the operation's central truth. After regaining the Monarch's body, she is pragmatic enough to suppress revenge and negotiate with the person who crippled her recovery.

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Peak Radiant Moon force and restored Rank 6 body

Before reunion Melinda displays peak Radiant Moon strength, enough to participate in an attack on a weakened Monarch but not to defeat one alone. After taking the Blazing Flame Monarch's body she returns to Rank 6 Breaking Dawn, with partial comprehension of the law of fire. Leylin's devouring removes part of that comprehension and leaves physical and soul injuries, so restored rank does not equal the original Monarch's peak condition. (Chapters 648–668, 769–772)

Truesoul Splitting Technique

Melinda's central technique divides a Magus's truesoul into two parts capable of forming independent bodies, thoughts, memories, and personalities. It can be used to discard unwanted emotions or bloodline instability into another soul, or to create a clone with genuine independent authority. Unlike a simple spiritual-imprint clone, the separated part can survive and develop as a person. (Chapters 661–663, 772–787)

That independence is the defining limitation. The new conscient cannot be reliably controlled and may become hostile, as Melinda does. Destroying it can injure the shared truesoul, while exile or suppression leaves an enduring threat. Even the Blazing Flame Monarch's own use of the method ends with the discarded half returning to seize the body, and Leylin refuses to use it until he adds an external control framework. (Chapters 661–663, 772–787)

Soul-body transfer and internal suppression

Melinda can abandon damaged flesh as a pure white soul, cross a short spacetime boundary, and enter her original Rank 6 body. The transfer succeeds because Leylin has suppressed the Monarch for three seconds; it is not an unrestricted ability to possess any stronger target. Once inside, Melinda must fight the original conscient directly and remains vulnerable to external attacks while control is unsettled. (Chapters 660–663)

Fire law and Monarch resources

After reunion Melinda controls the Blazing Flame Monarch's body, flame servants, organization, and partial fire-law comprehension. She can regenerate a destroyed arm and use rare Dreamscape materials to repair her soul, but reaching eighty-percent restoration takes years and enormous resources. Her power remains below beings that have crossed into Rank 7 laws, which is why Leylin's later advancement forces diplomacy. (Chapters 663–669, 769–772)

Intelligence, formations, and secure communication

Melinda designs encrypted imprint channels capable of reaching protected Morning Star regions, transfers sealed materials through astral gates, and controls Jupiter's Lightning's defensive personnel. Her detailed knowledge of Düz City and the Monarch's lair makes the coalition possible. These are learned technical and organizational capabilities; they do not eliminate her dependence on allies during the actual Rank 6 confrontation. (Chapters 630–661)
