History

Ignel presents Solitary Existence as the fourth numbered weapon in the God's Collection while Solitary Unbowed is unavailable for repair. Maiad van Declan supplies materials that reduce the price and pays for this sword and Runald's Solitary Child. Jaehwan accepts the weapon because its hilt fits him naturally and its quiet purr resembles a cat. (Chapters 180–181)

Jaehwan uses Solitary Existence throughout the Grand Auction conflict. It carries Destruction, supports Sanctuary Bonding with Russell's Deep Sea, and channels the World Power of the ruined Metaverse. Against Maiad, the sword helps Jaehwan reach twice his former power, but Maiad's Coexistence breaks its blade during their exchange. (Chapters 187–193)

Jaehwan continues fighting with the broken weapon in the Great Forest and during the Rift war. It can still deflect World Power and serve as a conduit, but the damaged blade prevents a proper Stab and slows his advance under bombardment. He later keeps the broken sword inside his Clothes and remembers Ignel as its maker in Panopticon. (Chapters 196–212, 243)

Properties and use

Solitary Existence is an unfinished but numbered Ignel masterpiece built to accept Jaehwan's style. It withstands close combat with gods and mechanical weapons, carries both his Destruction Setting and borrowed or allied World Power, and can act as the surface on which part of his Sanctuary manifests. The weapon itself is not identified as the source of those Settings. (Chapters 187–193)

Its decisive limitation is structural damage. Coexistence breaks the blade, after which Jaehwan can still block and channel power but cannot execute a proper Stab through it. The supplied corpus never records a repair, replacement owner, or independent spirit comparable to the intelligence that later emerges in Solitary Unbowed. (Chapters 193, 196, 212, 243)
