Russell is the God of the Deep Sea and the fifth-ranked member of the Seven Stars. Introduced as a feared god-killer hunting Jaehwan in Metaverse, Russell survives defeat, chooses to protect Jaehwan at the Grand Auction, and later resists Rift beside former enemies. Biography

Hunter and defeated Seven Star

Russell arrives on the Eighth Floor with a reputation for drowning every god caught in Deep Sea and for killing more gods than almost anyone in the previous three centuries. He targets the Black Shop's residents and pursues Jaehwan when the Awakened One draws him away. Russell initially dismisses Stab and attacks with water cannonballs, sharks, and a world-covering wave, but Jaehwan reads the small portion of particles Russell truly controls and splits the entire wave with a new technique. Russell is a severe, intimidating man whose heavy gaze and killing intent can make a target experience an illusory death. By the Rift campaign he travels hooded and has only one arm, injuries left from the recent battles. Proud and abrasive, Russell taunts weaker Seven Stars and initially treats combat as the natural measure of another being.
