Pierre

Pierre, the God of Mockery, is an ancient Awakened One, author, and founding member of 「Rift」 who later abandons that name and rules Epoche as Nameless, the God of Madness. Pierre's writings guide novice gods, while the hidden founder's despair and eventual return to action embody the hope those books appeared to declare exhausted.

Biography

Author and founder of Rift

Pierre becomes known throughout the Abyss for helping low-grade gods through books including 『101 Tiny Tips for Beginner Gods』 and 『Hymn to the God Complex』. Long before the main conflict, Pierre and Buddha approach Maiad van Declan as older Awakened Ones who understand 《Big Brother》 and the 《System》. The three found 「Rift」, share elements of their Unique Worlds in 「Mountain of Corpses, Sea of Blood」, and make the younger, healthier Maiad their Lord. Pierre also practices Molting with Mulack Armelt, Buddha, and the Naked Gods in the Forest of Madness. (Chapters 214 and 227)

The wall confronting Rift eventually convinces Pierre that no further ascent is possible. Pierre abandons both the organization and the old name, settles in the Seventh Site Epoche as Nameless, and becomes an Eight Divine Throne known as the God of Madness. The final book, 『Assuring Despair』, describes Epoche as the place where the Abyss's hope sets; later tradition incorrectly concludes that Pierre discovered the Site and suffered soul extinction there. Yu Seolha searches Epoche for the Abyss's remaining hope, but Pierre refuses to share her cause until Jaehwan identifies the hidden name, invokes Mulack and La-Hamad, and challenges the neglected Molting. Their clash and Jaehwan's continuing defiance reignite a small, unfamiliar spark in Pierre. The old founder accepts that Seolha has found her answer and later confirms that 《Big Brother》 has disappeared from the shared founder worlds: Pierre's “moon,” Maiad's “star,” and Buddha's “sun” are linked enough that the change appears across them. Appearance and personality

As Nameless, Pierre is a pale man dressed in white robes resembling burial clothes, sitting in Epoche's dust-covered palace like an invalid who has not seen sunlight for a long time. Speech comes in broken, emphatic fragments and can appear through floating speech bubbles when sustained words are difficult. The chapters do not separately describe Pierre's younger appearance during Rift's founding or authorship. (Chapters 213–214 and 224)

Pierre combines cutting humor with deep exhaustion. The published voice mocks novice vanity while offering practical help, but millennia of failure turn that insight toward despair and withdrawal. Even after abandoning the name, Pierre remains responsive to old friendships and to evidence that someone has not yielded. The gentle reaction to 《Big Brother》's disappearance and the private approval of Seolha reveal a capacity for hope that Epoche and the Nameless persona have suppressed rather than erased. Perception and manipulation Settings

Pierre has no equal among the Eight Divine Thrones in manipulation-type Settings. 「World Appraisal」 and 「Truth's Eye」 attempt to read Jaehwan, though neither can properly interpret him, demonstrating that even Divine Throne perception meets limits against an anomalous Awakened existence. Pierre can release immense World Power and is described as one of the earliest Awakened Ones, but the supplied chapters do not show a complete battle or name the full range of manipulation effects. Shared Unique World and Molting

Pierre's Unique World contains a symbolic moon and shares elements with the worlds of Rift's other founders through 「Mountain of Corpses, Sea of Blood」. The disappearance of 《Big Brother》 from one founder's world propagates across the linked symbols, letting Pierre verify a systemic change beyond ordinary observation. Pierre also trained in Molting, but La-Hamad's message implies that this practice has been neglected during the long retreat into Epoche. • Maiad van Declan: Pierre and Buddha help found Rift with Maiad, teach the younger Awakened One about the System, and choose Maiad as Lord because age has not yet broken that soul.

• Mulack Armelt: Pierre remembers Mulack as an old Molting companion. Jaehwan's invocation of that friendship helps break through the Nameless persona's withdrawal.
