Jishan

Jishan is a Cult Transcendent who remains behind during the Sky-God Arena attack to execute Leo on camera as a retaliatory symbol.

Biography

A planned sacrifice reversed into forced betrayal

Jishan accepts from the outset that he is disposable: after filming his comrades' escape with Darnell, he closes the portal and stays behind to kill Leo Skyshard. Grief over Noah's assassination gives the mission its purpose; Jishan wants the Righteous Alliance to feel the same loss by publicly killing its newly celebrated champion. He overwhelms the injured Leo, but delays for the symbolic speech and proximity the broadcast requires, allowing Leo to incapacitate him with Ball Buster before arriving warriors reduce his body to ash. (Chapters 217–220)

Dupravel Nuna collects Jishan's ashes, anchors his soul inside another corpse, and compels truthful answers. Jishan's operational compartmentalization means he cannot reveal Darnell's destination, but under magical coercion he exposes Cult routes, codes, hierarchy, finances, and fellow operatives. Dupravel then tortures him until his soul collapses, turning Jishan's intended martyrdom into an intelligence disaster and final oblivion. (Chapters 220–225)

Appearance and personality

Jishan wears black robes and a blank black mask while carrying the attack's camera. He is composed, deliberate, bitter, and sincerely reverent toward Noah, but his need to explain and stage the execution creates the opening that defeats him. (Chapters 217–219)

Abilities and power progression

• Jishan is a Transcendent whose single punch overwhelms the exhausted Leo. He uses a dagger and killing intent, but no named personal combat technique is established. (Chapters 217–219)
• His tier does not protect sensitive internal tissue from Leo's close-contact mana injection, which causes seizure-like incapacitation. The counter works because Jishan permits extreme proximity and is distracted, not because it universally defeats Transcendents. (Chapter 219)
• After death, Dupravel's urn—not Jishan's own ability—binds his soul to a foreign corpse and forces truth. Jishan cannot move without permission or resist the compulsion, and his soul is ultimately destroyed. (Chapters 220 and 225)

• Leo Skyshard is Jishan's chosen symbolic victim and the injured opponent who creates the opening for his defeat. (Chapters 217–220)
• Dupravel Nuna breaches the barrier too late to stop the attack, then resurrects and destroys Jishan's soul while extracting intelligence. (Chapters 217–225)
• Noah Ashburn is the dead Dragon whose loss motivates Jishan's retaliatory execution plan. (Chapter 218)

Jishan carries a camera and an unnamed dagger. His ashes are later held in Dupravel's soul-binding urn, but the urn belongs to Dupravel rather than Jishan. (Chapters 217–225)
