Valdemar is a human Primordial and the martial figurehead of Valhal, renowned for turning absolute confidence, human adaptability, and a Transcendent fighting aura into power capable of threatening even the strongest gods.

Biography

The Fang of Man

Before his godhood, Valdemar remains behind after other humans abandon a contested treasure and challenges the much stronger S-grade Malefic Viper. Poisoned, mutilated, and stripped of his original axe, he refuses to accept defeat. He reshapes one of the Viper’s broken fangs into a weapon, drives the dragon to flee, and claims the treasure. The victory becomes a foundational human legend because it is produced by choice and will rather than an inherited natural weapon, later inspiring Jake’s Fangs of Man. (Chapters 411–413)

Valdemar’s image later serves as the supreme opponent of Nevermore’s Colosseum of Mortals. The encounter places Jake against an idealized younger version of the warrior whose conviction and escalating battle aura had already influenced his Path. Even as a system image, Valdemar treats the contest as a genuine struggle between humans and forces Jake to engage with the difference between possessing many powerful abilities and making every movement an expression of an unbroken martial identity. Appearance and personality

In the historical vision, Valdemar looks like an ordinary bearded human whose armor has been burned away, leaving little more than a loincloth and a battered axe. His body is ruined as the fight progresses, but his grin and certainty do not fade. He is direct, boisterous, competitive, and incapable of treating surrender as a sensible answer while he believes there is still a fight to be won. (Chapter 411)

Path, class, and abilities

Valdemar’s Path makes human will and adaptability into weapons. He is not presented as the most technically refined fighter; his defining advantage is that every action carries his certainty that it will succeed.

Transcendent fighting aura and weapon integration

His golden aura intensifies as a battle continues and as his legend takes shape, allowing him to overcome a large initial disparity against the Viper. Valdemar can also flood whatever he holds with his sense of self, temporarily making even a crude object the effective extension of his body and will. Material still matters—a broken divine fang is a better weapon than ordinary wood—but his method demonstrates why humanity’s use of tools can function as its natural armament. (Chapters 411–413)

The corpus also shows exceptional physical resilience, poison resistance aided by powerful alcohol, and the ability to make direct, apparently simple strikes carry enough force and concept to break the Viper’s body and divide reality. His exact present-day divine techniques are not cataloged, so the historical and Nevermore demonstrations remain the firmest account of how he fights. (Chapters 411–413 and 777–784)
