Biography

Defender and craftswoman

Christen entered the Tutorial with her childhood friend Silas, her friend Eleanor, and university classmates Neil and Levi. Neil teleported the group to Haven while Christen carried a massive cursed wound across her stomach. Once stabilized, she resumed her place as the party's Heavy Warrior, confronting Donald with shield and armor while Silas supported her, and instinctively placing herself between Silas and a dangerous D-grade hawk. (Chapters 145, 148, 166)

Christen also developed blacksmithing, crafting an axe for Hank, producing a metal quest slate, and later working at Haven's smithy alongside Levi. During Ell'Hakan's invasion she retained her defender's instincts by helping carry the slower Louise to safety. After reaching D-grade, Christen eventually retired from dangerous advancement and settled in Haven with Levi and Silas. (Chapters 147, 183, 253, 533, 790, 915)

Appearance and personality

Christen is introduced as a young woman in chainmail, grievously wounded but still alert. She fights with a shield and the solid build and bearing of a Heavy Warrior. Blunt, sarcastic, and resilient, she is consistently protective of less durable companions.

Path, class, and abilities

Christen's Heavy Warrior Path emphasizes strength, toughness, armor, and shield-based front-line defense. She can withstand punishment that would disable lighter fighters and hold an enemy while allies attack, though Donald's curse demonstrates that durability does not make her immune to supernatural wounds and she still needs Silas's support. Her blacksmith profession complements the combat Path through practical arms, tools, and metalwork. Her latest state is retired rather than pursuing further combat growth.
