Yoo Jinhyuk

Yoo Jinhyuk is an elite private broker whose Gift lets him investigate a person's past as an immersive virtual record. His expensive, physically taxing work uncovers secrets that ordinary surveillance cannot reach, including evidence concerning the Kwang-Oh Incident and Yi Yeonjun.

Biography

Selling the past

Jinhyuk operates through Violet Banquet and his own office, charging high prices because his Gift is both rare and exhausting. To investigate a target, he enters a magic-power spirit body and spends long periods observing a virtual reconstruction of the past; moving consumes power, and his physical body still requires care while he is immersed. These constraints make careful scope and compensation essential, but his results establish him as the preferred investigator when powerful clans need hidden history rather than ordinary records. (Chapters 53–79)

Investigations for Yoo Yeonha and Hajin

Jinhyuk becomes a trusted source for his niece Yoo Yeonha and prepares evidence that Chae Joochul wished to conceal. His later investigation into Yi Yeonjun produces a flash drive which reacts with Hajin's Stigma, materializing Korea's past as a shared virtual world. The event exceeds an ordinary report, trapping participants until they witness an event Jinhyuk prepared, but it also reveals Yi Yeonjun's connection to Boss and gives Hajin information unavailable by other means. Appearance and personality

The corpus gives no stable physical description for Yoo Jinhyuk. He is irritable when work interrupts his games, openly motivated by money, and practical about the bodily inconvenience of his Gift. Despite this mercenary manner, Yoo Yeonha treats him as a trusted uncle and makes time for his calls during major crises. (Chapters 54–55, 124, and 301)

Gifts and abilities

Jinhyuk's unnamed Gift lets him move through a virtual reality of another person's past as a spirit body made from magic power. Movement consumes power, unusually dense histories are harder to explore, and his physical body remains vulnerable to ordinary needs during immersion. In synergy with Stigma and a prepared flash drive, the Gift can help materialize a shared historical simulation, though that result is not shown as something Jinhyuk can create alone.
