Droon

Droon is the Chameleon Troupe's Seat of Violet, a youthful intelligence specialist who spies from shadows, reproduces witnessed scenes, and fights through the alien rabbit Mimyo. His cheerful and mischievous manner contrasts with the Troupe's violence, but his loyalty is durable: he supports its operations, helps confront its past, and eventually uses his abilities in the charitable Healing City rather than abandoning his companions. Biography

Watching Kim Hajin

Boss sends Droon to observe Kim Hajin without revealing the Chameleon Troupe's interest. He hides as darkness, follows Hajin's movements, and then presents the gathered experience to the group as a sensory projection during its recruitment vote. The assignment establishes him as a scout rather than a conventional assassin: his value lies in witnessing events personally, returning undetected, and giving the Troupe evidence vivid enough to inform a collective choice. (Chapters 45–47)

Cleanup and Mimyo

Droon's duties expand from surveillance to managing the aftermath of violent operations. He rescues surviving victims while Mimyo consumes bullets and other dangerous remnants, and later calls the rabbit from his own body to clean the site of Chae Jinyoon's death. Mimyo's inability to consume the corpse surprises him and leaves the reason unresolved, demonstrating that neither Droon nor his summon has complete control over what the creature can accept. War against monsters and devils

During later operations, Droon supplies both intelligence and overwhelming specialized force. His projections let allies review battles, while Mimyo swallows humanoid monsters and eventually consumes the high-ranking devil Andromalius. These successes do not make the rabbit consequence-free: Droon warns it against overeating because the strain can cause stomach trouble, and Mimyo's torture-oriented Illusory Death fails to guarantee control over a mentally resilient target such as Jin Sahyuk. Reckoning and Healing City

When the Chameleon Troupe decides to confront the unresolved crimes surrounding Kwang-Oh, Droon participates instead of retreating from the group's shared history. In adulthood, he works beside Yi Yuri at the Colored-Paper Charity Foundation's Healing City as a head of security, teacher, and doctor. The choice turns skills once used for clandestine operations toward protecting and caring for others, while his continued loyalty to the changed Yi Byul shows that he accepts the past cannot simply be restored. (Chapters 365–370)

Droon is also among the small number of people who retain their memory of Kim Hajin after the world's broader erasure. That survival preserves the connection formed through his earliest surveillance assignment and distinguishes his postwar life from people who can no longer recognize Hajin's role in their history. Appearance and personality

Droon first appears as a short, cute boy who emerges from a silent patch of darkness. His youthful face and lively behavior make him seem harmless beside the other Chameleon Troupe members, and he remains playful, curious, and fond of animation even while handling grim assignments. As an adult, the narrative emphasizes his mischievous temperament and caregiving work more than providing a new detailed physical description. (Chapters 45–47, 365–370)

Gifts and abilities

Droon's Gift allows him to project and materialize things he has personally experienced through all five senses. This makes his recordings more than secondhand video: he must witness the source event himself, after which he can reproduce it for other people. He also moves or conceals himself through shadow-like darkness, a useful scouting function whose exact range and duration are not quantified in the corpus. (Chapters 45–47, 144–146)

The narrative later describes his ability to summon and tame “aliens” from a dimensional boundary as a Gift comparable to an Authority, but does not explain whether this is a separate Gift or another function of the earlier one. Its primary manifestation is Mimyo, a black rabbit with red eyes that can emerge from Droon's body, swallow living enemies and projectiles, resist Aileen's Spirit Speech, consume a devil, and induce the torture illusion Illusory Death. Mimyo nonetheless has preferences and physical limits: it refuses or cannot consume some targets, can be resisted mentally, and suffers if pushed to eat too much. Relationships

Droon is loyal to Boss, later known as Yi Byul, and serves as both her observer and a voting member of the Chameleon Troupe. His loyalty survives the group's transformation and the recognition that none of them can return unchanged to their earlier life. Mimyo is his closest operational companion rather than an ordinary tool; Droon directs and worries about it, while the rabbit acts with enough independence to refuse targets and react to strain. (Chapters 45–47, 112–140, 262, 370)

At Healing City, Droon works alongside Yi Yuri as a fellow head of security, teacher, and doctor. His retained memory of Kim Hajin also leaves him connected to a history that much of the world has lost, even though their original relationship began with Droon secretly evaluating Hajin for recruitment. (Chapters 370–376)

Items

Droon is not associated with a distinct signature weapon or artifact. Mimyo should not be treated as an item: it is a living alien summon and companion that enters and exits Droon's body, makes choices, and has needs of its own.
