Gordius
Gordius is Night Sky’s intelligent parasitic creation, a physically fragile infiltrator that acquires the strength and senses of divine hosts.
Biography
The smallest creation takes the greatest body
Gordius begins as a ten-centimeter creature vulnerable even to livestock, with little besides steel-biting teeth, rapid inference, and theatrical talent. Choi Sung-Woon uses those traits to place it inside Koprik, where Gordius imitates the Rakshasa guardian and destroys defenders who believe it remains their ally. The deception gives Vasen Lak Orazen’s force access and protection that a direct assault could not, turning Gordius’s weak original body into an advantage for infiltration. (Chapters 154–158)
During the battle with Ashurada, Gordius moves into Mazdari’s hand, bites through the Dragon’s palate, and reaches the brain before the victim can burn it out. Control of Ashurada’s body supplies intricate senses, speed, breath magic, and immense strength. Gordius then destroys RD’s strongest creation and repels other invasions, but later needs recovery after battle, showing that possession grants a host’s power without making the parasite or body inexhaustible. (Chapters 170–177 and 228)
Appearance and personality
Gordius’s natural body is a thin, fragile creature roughly ten centimeters long, moving by repeatedly bending and stretching. Strong teeth form the only visibly reliable part. Its personality is expressed through quick deduction and acting ability: it can inhabit a role convincingly, remain patient inside a hostile temple, and choose violence efficiently once its disguise no longer serves. (Chapters 154–158)
Powers and abilities
Gordius is a parasite creation able to enter another body and take control of it, gaining access to the host’s physical structure, senses, and inscribed abilities. Steel-biting teeth let it create an entry, while intelligence and theatrical talent sustain impersonation. The process is not instantaneous or safe: the original body is extremely vulnerable, Gordius must physically reach a critical internal location, and a host can try to burn or destroy it en route. Damage and exertion to an acquired body can also require later recovery. (Chapters 154–158 and 170–177)
