Duruo Spear

Duruo Spear is Qinghong's silver-white thunder weapon. Tongya first obtained it in a serpent cave and reserved it for her, but its fierce nature required caution before the handover. A later inquiry from Thunder Island revealed that the cave contained an elder's relics rather than merely a snake demon's hoard. (Chapters 110, 112, 370, and 780)

History

A powerful relic left unused

Tongya obtained the Foundation Establishment weapon when he and Zhang Yun divided treasures in the cave. Zhang claimed what Tongya believed to be a demon core, leaving him the spear. When Tongya inspected it afterward, electricity danced across its snow-white surface and made his hands tingle. He lacked spear skills and was only a Qi Cultivator, so he kept it stored. (Chapters 110 and 112)

The family reserved the spear for Qinghong. Tongya warned that it was fierce and unruly, could harm vitality and shorten lifespan, and should not be entrusted to her before peak Qi Cultivation. Yuanjiao nevertheless carried it when danger made an emergency escape weapon valuable. Qinghong demanded it, caught its surge of electricity in one hand, and calmed it with her purple energy. Only after accepting her did it reveal its name, Duruo, meaning White Iris. (Chapters 218 and 370)

Qinghong's signature weapon and its recovered provenance

The spear became Qinghong's principal close-combat artifact and helped establish the family reputation. Its name, paired with Qingche Sword, even supplied the name Qingdu Peak. By her later assessment it had never been inferior to the weapons of her opponents during her years of use. (Chapters 443 and 741)

Miao Ye later came from Thunder Island to ask about it following a dispute involving his uncle and Qinghong. He explained that Duruo had belonged to Miao Dushan, an elder who disappeared after conflicts with Azure Pond and Golden Feather. Xuanxuan realized that the cave's supposed demon core had instead been the Heavenly Crimson Pearl, a Purple Mansion spirit artifact, and that the treasures had been Miao Dushan's relics guarded by a python. The inquiry changed the meaning of the family's original discovery. (Chapter 780)

Miao Ye emphasized finding the elder's remains and the pearl, while treating the lost weapons as a regret. No actual surrender of Duruo followed. Qinghong continued to carry and fight with her silver spear. (Chapters 780–781, 864, and 1550)

Resisting deformation and shamanic interference

During a confrontation with Yu Jiang, his palm strike bent the spear's tip, but it slowly straightened itself. His Shamanic Transformation then turned the weapon into a white python trying to wriggle from Qinghong's hand. She held it, disrupted his spell rhythm with Profound Thunder, and poured her lightning through the spear to purge the transformation and restore its original form. (Chapter 864)

The exchange establishes both the treasure's resilience and its vulnerability to unusual interference. Its restoration required Qinghong's active response; it did not make her immune to the opponent's illusions or control of the battle. (Chapter 864)

Abilities and properties

Duruo is silver-white, with a seven-cun diamond-like flat tip and a six-che patterned shaft. It channels lightning, responds readily to Qinghong's thunder, and is unusually potent among Foundation Establishment artifacts. Its name was concealed until it acknowledged her. (Chapter 370)

Its initial danger lies in its fierce, demanding nature and the risk to vitality and lifespan Tongya warned of. Qinghong's compatibility allowed her to subdue it, but this does not establish that any low-level cultivator could safely do the same. Its tip can recover from bending, while sufficient lightning can purge a shamanic transformation imposed on its body. (Chapters 370 and 864)

Yu Jiang attributed its resistance to deformation to its Profound Thunder nature and its restraint of shape-shifting powers. That is his assessment during the fight. The demonstrated restoration is secure, whereas a separate later reconstruction using particular Celestial Thunder materials is not established as a completed event. (Chapter 864)
