Xi Zikang

Xi Zikang is a Northern Sea thunder cultivator who travels south to exchange knowledge with Li Qinghong and confront the upheaval surrounding the Dragon Clan. Their shared journey makes him an ally in the Eastern Sea and eventually a companion inside a grotto heaven.

Biography

A Northern Sea visitor

Xi Zikang visits Li Qinghong’s family seeking Celestial Thunder arts and hoping to examine the Sixfold Profound Thunder Punishment Tokens, which hold meaning for his family. He explains that he cultivates the Dao of Thunder Steering and Cloud Dwelling, with Heaven’s Crying Spur as his Immortal Foundation. Rather than wait for the Dragon Monarch to act against his kin, he has chosen to travel south himself; he invites Qinghong to accompany him so they can face what comes next together. (Chapters 939–940)

Journey to Dongliu Island

After meeting Qinghong again, Zikang travels with her for more than half a year and offers to help free the besieged Han Family. He rides a thunder chariot into the storm and drives off the attackers with lightning, then explains how the collapse of the Twelve Thunder Palaces followed changes in the world. He respects Han Shihai’s sacrifice for his family despite condemning the use of devil techniques. Zikang later enters a grotto heaven with Qinghong; his fate there is unconfirmed, though Li Zhouwei believes he likely fell with the others. (Chapters 941, 973, 977–979, 1267 and 1291)

Appearance and personality

Zikang appears youthful, with a faint purple mark on his forehead and silver robes. His speech is clear and courteous, and he willingly lends his strength to Qinghong’s rescue effort. Abilities and cultivation

Zikang cultivates the Dao of Thunder Steering and Cloud Dwelling, and his Immortal Foundation is Heaven’s Crying Spur. He summons powerful lightning through a thunder chariot and spell arts, clearing the siege at Dongliu Island quickly. His precise realm and the limits of his other techniques are not established.
