Tu Longjian

Biography

A spared heir

When Li Yuanjiao spared him, Tu was a rogue cultivator tied to the Slaughter Jun Gate. He answered the rescue with a promise to repay the kindness. Yuanjiao had examined Tu's Yang Nourishing Technique, a long, resource-intensive method for converting spirit fire, but was wary of its complexity. Years later, Tu recognized the artifact Yuanjiao had used during their first encounter, but tested the veiled stranger before trusting him; once he confirmed his benefactor's identity, the two renewed their connection. (Chapters 452, 590–591)

The grotto and the restored gate

Tu guided Yuanjiao through the Mirrored Mirage Grotto Heaven and intervened when its contests put him in danger. He used the Six Ding Merging Fire Token against rival cultivators and artifacts, searched through the obscuring cloud sea, and helped shield Yuanjiao during the fight that left Tu himself wounded; he later used medicine from the spoils to treat Li Xuanfeng. The alliance grew from Tu's earlier debt into practical mutual aid. (Chapters 595–614)

By chapter 792, Tu publicly announced that he had reached the Purple Mansion Realm and attained the Molten Fire divine ability, then declared that he would restore the Slaughter Jun Immortal Gate at Kuijun Mountain and consolidate Wu. He later dealt with the Li family as a neighboring power, explaining that its violence against the Tianwan island group had been necessary self-defense. When the expected support from another Daoist lineage failed to arrive, he reassessed the situation and sought advice on the price of a Yin-Yang technique. (Chapters 792–794, 926–929)

Appearance and personality

At his reunion with Yuanjiao, Tu had exchanged his former ragged appearance for luxurious feathered robes and carried a golden hammer; in the grotto he was also cautious enough to test whether the veiled stranger was truly his benefactor. Later he introduced himself to senior cultivators without arrogance and spoke earnestly on the Li family's behalf. (Chapters 590–591, 794, 926)

Abilities and cultivation

Cultivation and Molten Fire

Tu had reached Foundation Establishment by his reunion with Yuanjiao. He later announced his advancement to the Purple Mansion Realm and the attainment of Molten Fire, which he called a divine ability; the cited encounters do not establish its operating mechanics or a specific use, so it is distinct from the visible effects of his carried token. (Chapters 591, 792, 794)

The Six Ding Merging Fire Token

Tu wields the Six Ding Merging Fire Token, an ancient spirit artifact described as effective against demons and dangerous to cultivators. When activated, it releases oppressive gray flames; Tu used it to contest other artifacts, press back the Binding Ring, and protect Yuanjiao from its runaway fire. Its demonstrated effects are tied to the artifact, not established as an innate ability. (Chapters 597, 610–611, 614)

Relationships

  • Li Yuanjiao: The benefactor Tu vows to repay; they later cooperate as allies in the grotto. (Chapters 452, 590–614)
  • Li Xuanfeng: A fellow combatant in the grotto; Tu assists him after their fight with Yu Muxian. (Chapters 604–614)
  • Tang Shedu: Their interests collide when Tang attacks Yuanjiao and Tu intervenes with the Merging Fire Token. (Chapters 610–612)

Items

Tu carries the Six Ding Merging Fire Token and uses it to control gray fire in the grotto. He also fights with a long golden hammer; the scenes establish its use but not its origin. (Chapters 590, 597, 610–614)
