Fei Tongxiao

Fei Tongxiao is a Fei family cultivator whose devotion to Li Qinghong and determination to preserve his clan shape his life. (Chapters 225, 341–342, 621)

Biography

Ambition and affection

As a young cultivator, Tongxiao repeatedly visits Li Qinghong to spar and gradually develops an unreturned affection for her. His family’s Dragon Reflection spear technique lets him meet her practice with force, but her rapid progress soon outstrips his. Though his brother warns him not to trouble her, Tongxiao’s feelings persist; he remains respectful of her path and later writes to apologize for his youthful attentions. Choosing the family’s survival

After Fei Wangbai is killed and the Yu Family surrounds Glacial Cloud Peak, Tongxiao steadies his grieving brother Fei Tongyu and argues that the family should seek Li family help rather than risk dying for revenge. Li Tongya’s intervention saves them, and Tongxiao acknowledges the debt and plans to repay it with the Dragon Reflection manual. He also decides to disperse his cultivation and start again rather than pursue Foundation Establishment through the Long Brocade Heart Sutra. (Chapters 341–346)

A costly restart

Tongxiao spends decades rebuilding his cultivation, passing through the Embryonic Breathing Realm twice before reaching Qi Cultivation shortly before forty. When he meets Qinghong again, he recognizes how far their paths have diverged but explains that circumstances changed after his grandfather’s death. He eventually attempts Foundation Establishment and dies when the breakthrough fails; his final letter to Qinghong accepts his failure and asks her forgiveness. (Chapters 443, 621)

Appearance and personality

Tongxiao is quick and agile as a boy, but shy around Qinghong. During the Fei Family’s siege, grief gives way to a focused resolve as he argues for survival; decades later, his cultivation struggles have left him visibly aged and subdued. (Chapters 225, 341–342, 443)

Abilities and cultivation

Tongxiao trained in the Fei Family’s Long Brocade Heart Sutra and condensed Six White Jade Chakras during the Embryonic Breathing Realm. He wielded the family’s Grade Three Dragon Reflection spear technique, which produced a visible spear aura in practice. After his grandfather’s death, he abandoned that path, dispersed his cultivation, and slowly rebuilt his foundation; his eventual attempt at Foundation Establishment killed him.
