An Siwei

An Siwei is a son of An Zheyan and Li Feiruo who becomes the Li Family’s first Foundation Establishment cultivator of an outside surname. His steady service earns considerable trust, but modest methods and limited resources leave him vulnerable to stronger opponents. Capture, release and the decline of his father deepen his responsibilities toward both his patrons and his own household. (Chapters 409, 1068, 1177, and 1522–1523)

Biography

The An Brothers Enter Li Service

Siwei and his younger brother An Siming are brought forward as promising teenagers after both reach the fourth Embryonic stage at thirteen or fourteen. Their parents’ ties to the Li Family give them a place to train, but they must turn inherited aptitude into useful service. Siwei carries a spear while Siming carries a sword, and the brothers become familiar figures around the family’s formations. When a visiting monk arrives, Siwei approaches cautiously, explicitly introducing himself as a member of the Li Family rather than asserting an independent An identity. Later, both brothers escort Xu Gongming as Qi cultivators. His controlled manner and readiness to handle messages make him a dependable intermediary as well as a guard. (Chapters 409, 417, 420, and 482)

A Trusted Protector of Huayu

As the household expands, Siwei’s cultivation and duties advance together. At the eighth Qi layer he accompanies practical work affecting the towns, and the brothers later return travel-worn from gathering qi in the desert. During the northern conflict, Siming goes north while Siwei remains beside Li Xijun. He represents Huayu’s seven towns in a family now divided among many territorial interests, giving its rulers a reliable link to people whose concerns cannot all be managed directly. When Zheyan and other cultivators disappear in the north, even his usual reserve cannot conceal anger at another Azure Pond demand for service. Loyalty does not make the cost to his own family painless. (Chapters 622, 745, 754, 790, and 821)

The Li leaders recognize that capable outside-surname cultivators must receive advancement opportunities. Pills, borrowed spiritual aura and Jade True guidance help Siwei establish a foundation, making him the first of the family’s external surnames to do so. His new status brings Dharma Protector duties and practical rewards, yet the concentration of respectable posts among An fathers, sons and grandsons also produces political unease. His position therefore depends on continued loyalty and moderation as well as cultivated strength. (Chapters 958, 1019, 1043, 1068, and 1177)

Capture and a Costly Release

In occupied Floating Cloud territory, Siwei surveys the land, removes lesser demon threats and helps secure the new holdings. The work suits his reliability, but exposes him to opponents with much better methods. Guan Lingdie can wound him while holding off more than one Li cultivator, and the later assault by Situ Mo overwhelms the formation he is helping defend. Concern for his elderly father nearby intensifies the pressure. Caught while concentrating on his own duel, Siwei is surrounded, badly wounded and seized. He nevertheless tries to fight to the death, forcing Situ Mo to scatter his mana before he can resist further. (Chapters 1058, 1074, and 1088–1091)

His captivity damages more than a single fighting force: the Huayu faction loses its principal support, and he is left in a Capital Immortal Dao dungeon. Li Zhouwei values his contributions and loyalty enough to pursue his release despite his ordinary combat strength. Eventually Li Minggong returns the Capital Dao Bell in an exchange that brings him home. His injuries are healed and his aura steady, but a year of struggle and guilt has aged his face and exhausted his spirit. Recovery restores his body without erasing the humiliation and fear of imprisonment. (Chapters 1098, 1130, and 1177)

Elder Service, Loss and the Eastern Sea

After his return, Siwei resumes the work that first earned the household’s confidence. In administrative disputes he cautions against retrospective punishment without proof, recognizing that an accusation can undermine loyalty even when rulers suspect its truth. He accepts orders to guard the Wilderness, but his later mid-Foundation advancement does not make him suitable for the most intense northern and southern battles. His limited early resources and method quality still matter, so the family assigns him duties appropriate to his strength. (Chapters 1236, 1283, and 1522)

His father’s final decline brings another intimate burden. Siwei holds Zheyan’s hands and answers through tears as the old man repeats warnings against indulgence and revenge and urges him to have children. Continuing to preserve the An household gives those words practical consequence: Siwei takes many associates to the Eastern Sea before Karmic Fire destroys a large share of those remaining in the Wilderness. He cannot save the entire network, but the move prevents a still greater loss. He remains an active messenger afterward, carrying distant correspondence back to the family and explaining the delays created by the sea routes. (Chapters 1523, 1625, and 1645)

Appearance and personality

As a teenager, Siwei has a round face and dark eyes, with neatly tied hair, a cloak and a gold bracelet. He becomes handsome and dignified, usually carrying a long spear. After imprisonment, his clean robes and steady aura contrast with reddened eyes and a visibly worn face. In later life he dresses plainly in white, wears a long beard and no longer has the gold bangle of his youth. (Chapters 409, 883, 1177, and 1522)

He is reserved, composed and attentive to the consequences of decisions. His loyalty includes concern for his father and the people associated with Huayu, rather than simply obedience to household orders. Capture leaves guilt and weariness, yet he returns to service instead of withdrawing from responsibility. His warning against unproved accusations shows the restraint he brings to administration. (Chapters 821, 1177, and 1236)

Abilities and cultivation

Guardian of the Courtly Path and Jade True

Siwei trains in Guardian of the Courtly Path during his youth, reaches Qi Cultivation and later builds an ordinary immortal foundation with pill support, borrowed spiritual aura and Jade True guidance. Good aptitude does not remove the disadvantages of weak methods and limited early resources. By the time he reaches mid Foundation, his strength remains inadequate for the region’s fiercest conflicts, and his elders assign him accordingly. Jade True describes his cultivation path, rather than an attained Fruition position. (Chapters 409, 1019, 1177, and 1522)

Spear, Formation and Territorial Defense

His spear and spell training support escorts, patrols and defense against ordinary enemies. He eliminates two late-Qi demons in Floating Cloud territory, but the limits of his foundation become clear against prestigious opponents. Situ Mo’s coordinated force can catch him before reinforcements arrive, and the formation he controls cannot withstand several Foundation cultivators even with the local Qi cultivators sharing its burden. His attempt to resist after capture proves courage, not immunity to suppression. (Chapters 622, 1058, and 1089–1091)

Earthly Court Detection Technique

Siwei uses the Earthly Court Detection Technique to probe mountain terrain and judge the abundance of spiritual energy. Combined with surveys and reports, it helps him identify cultivation land and organize the response to demon sites. He does not treat detection as complete knowledge: when a remaining demon general’s background is uncertain, he sends a formal invitation instead of attacking blindly. The method supports occupation and administration as much as combat. (Chapter 1058)

Earthbinding Boots

Zhouwei gives Siwei Earthbinding Boots that enhance speed and restore mana when their wearer touches the ground. The gift requires refinement before use and offers a practical advantage with an explicit condition, rather than unrestricted recovery in flight. His delighted reaction reflects recognition of service as well as the usefulness of the artifact. The Earthbearing Spirit Shield delivered in the same assignment is intended for the White Ape, not another possession granted to Siwei. (Chapter 1043)
