An Siming

An Siming is a son of An Zheyan and Li Feiruo and the elder brother of An Siwei. Raised in Li service, he becomes a reliable late-stage Qi cultivator before dying in a northern crisis. (Chapters 409, 745, 885)

Biography

Service to the Lis and the northern disaster

Siming and Siwei reach the fourth stage of Embryonic Breathing while still thirteen and fourteen, giving their parents renewed hope after the death of Jingming. Their early training takes place under Li Yuanping at Yuting, where Siming practices the sword against his brother’s spear. He grows into a courteous messenger and escort within the Li household rather than pursuing an independent An revival. A later desert expedition leaves both brothers at late-stage Qi Cultivation, and Li Xijun values their willingness to follow orders despite the An Family’s unusually strong talent. (Chapters 409, 417, 436, 482, 745)

This allegiance also places Siming in the northern encounter that devastates his father. After a Buddhist attacker kills Li Qin, Siming charges with his sword but survives only five exchanges. An Zheyan later reports the disaster in grief, blaming his own judgment for his second son’s death as he had once blamed himself for Jingming’s. Siming’s death removes another promising cultivator from the family’s service, while Siwei continues guarding the Li household. (Chapter 885)

Appearance and personality

As a boy Siming has a round face, dark eyes, and golden bracelets. His youthful manners are polite; later his travel-worn appearance accompanies disciplined service rather than complaint. His final charge demonstrates courage against an opponent far beyond his ability. (Chapters 409, 436, 745, 885)

Abilities and cultivation

Sword training and Qi cultivation

Siming trains with a sword while Siwei uses a spear. His cultivation advances from the fourth Embryonic Breathing stage to late Qi Cultivation, but he does not attain Foundation Establishment. Against the northern Buddhist attacker, his swordsmanship cannot compensate for the gap in power: he is killed in five exchanges. (Chapters 417, 745, 885)
