Raymond

Raymond is a Grade B superhero in the Punisher Alliance, a local vigilante organization devoted to protecting civilians. His pursuit of the Blood Hammer Church draws disguised Black Star Guards into the alliance and eventually leads them to the dangerous Box of Enticement.

Biography

The Flickering World

Raymond investigates the Blood Hammer Church on Enya Hub, is discovered and nearly killed, and is healed by Aurora. Impressed by her ability, he invites her and Feidin, both using false identities, into the Punisher Alliance. When wider unrest erupts, Raymond immediately joins the fighting, helps suppress lesser hostile organizations, and protests when a Calamity Grade officer tries to recruit Aurora away. He then brings the two recruits to the alliance's mobile headquarters and shows them its trophies, including the Box of Enticement sought by Han. When Feidin takes the box, Raymond hopes the betrayal is only its mental influence and is stunned when Han Xiao arrives. The creature inside attacks after being released, but Han destroys it. Raymond survives and concludes with the others that Black Star saved them from a future disaster; the corpus gives no later fate. (Chapters 938–945)

Appearance and personality

The corpus provides no stable physical description. Raymond is sincere, enthusiastic, and somewhat forgetful: he tries to recruit Aurora before introducing himself and nearly overlooks the application process. He is rash but reliable, refuses to stand aside when civilians may be endangered, and is willing to challenge someone of much higher status to defend a new comrade. (Chapters 938–942)

Raymond is a Grade B Super who fights with conventional weapons alongside the Punisher Alliance. He survives a severe chest wound only because Aurora heals him, and the alliance's attacks cannot penetrate the Heart Sucking Demon's defenses. Relationships

• Feidin: Raymond recruits Feidin under the alias Chen Xing and regards him as a comrade until discovering the mission to take the box. Their trust is damaged, though Han's destruction of the hidden creature changes Raymond's understanding of the incident. (Chapters 938–945)
