Oulou
Oulou, known as Golden Ring, is the Federation of Light's chief personal guard and one of the explored universe's top peak Beyond Grade As. His link to the Golden Treasure Ship secondary dimension grants an effectively unlimited supply of destructive energy, making him both a national guardian and a specialist in prolonged, large-scale combat.
Biography
Intelligent Plague and the Association
Oulou is initially established through reputation and absence. Sierron notes that he is in the Central Galaxy, while Traveler explains that an earlier defeat by Oulou drove him to seek power in secondary dimensions. Oulou himself first appears beside the Federation's president at the ceremony honoring Han Xiao. When the civilizations later enter the Beyond Grade A Association, he greets Black Star with hostility over captured friends and boasts that the outcome would have differed had he been present. The confrontation stops at words, preserving official cooperation without erasing personal resentment. (Chapters 1045–1071 and 1146–1148)
Sanctum Revival and the Super Crisis
The confrontation between the Association and the three Universal Civilizations finally gives Oulou the duel he has wanted. Enhanced by Verena, he volunteers to test Han Xiao and links to the Golden Treasure Ship, pouring nearly limitless golden beams into the mechanical army. His confidence is not empty—he is a top-tier peak Beyond Grade A with an Energy Rank above 90,000—but Han Xiao's decades of hidden growth leave him badly outmatched. Oulou retreats before receiving a fatal injury, and the highly public defeat damages both his pride and the Federation's reputation. (Chapters 1228 and 1302–1304)
Oulou then fights beside Clotti and the other direct members in a six-day group battle against Black Star. Combined enhancements and numbers multiply their strength, yet they still fail to force Han Xiao to reveal his full power. Oulou bitterly accepts that both Black Star and Wuornos have moved onto a level above the ordinary peak Beyond Grade As. The loss tempers his arrogance without removing his concern for status: he can recognize a superior opponent and retreat rationally, but remains acutely conscious of humiliation and public face. (Chapters 1305–1307)
The World Tree War
The World Tree invasion turns Oulou's former opponent into an indispensable ally. He sets aside earlier grievances because survival creates a common interest, joins the direct members suppressing dangerous revived combatants, and seeks confirmation that Han Xiao will revive those who die in battle. His participation is pragmatic rather than sentimental: he remains loyal to the Federation and wary of the Association's growing leverage, but accepts that refusing cooperation would sacrifice the civilization he is sworn to protect. (Chapters 1334–1353 and 1376–1377)
Oulou's power also contributes indirectly to decisive operations. Han Xiao uses a copied Golden Treasure Ship ram to break through the Heart Tree King's control and later to smash through the World Tree's final defensive perimeter. Oulou himself continues fighting with the galactic Beyond Grade As and worries when Black Star disappears into the Tree God's isolated battlefield. These scenes show the change in his judgment: the rival he once expected to defeat has become the combatant on whom the entire coalition's victory depends. (Chapters 1361 and 1440)
Information Form and the Final Relay
After the war, Oulou helps Clotti stabilize the direct Beyond Grade As unsettled by the rise of the Supers Holy Land, preserving the Federation's remaining high-level force. He is then chosen to lead the Federation's first sanctioned expedition into a Sanctum using the method Han Xiao provides. The mission succeeds in returning with information, but nearly every participant emerges mentally dazed; even Oulou's legs tremble and his face shows shock. His latest scene leaves him alive and functional, yet visibly affected by knowledge or experience the chapter does not fully detail. (Chapters 1449, 1452, and 1457)
Appearance and personality
Oulou has a pale, humanlike body, a straight horn on his forehead, long ears, deep purple eyes, and no nose; the flat area where one would be remains harmonious with his face. His golden hair is kept at a practical length around the horn and braided into a twisted plait reaching his waist. He wears an elegant robe patterned in light gold and ice blue, giving him a noble, gentle appearance.
He is warmer and easier to joke with than Clotti, but he sometimes displays superiority and cares strongly about personal and institutional face. Oulou can be arrogant, competitive, and openly hostile toward people who captured his friends. He is also practical enough to retreat from an unwinnable duel, cooperate with old enemies against the World Tree, and shoulder the psychological risk of entering a Sanctum for his civilization.
Abilities and class
Oulou is a peak Beyond Grade A Esper whose ability links him to the Golden Treasure Ship, a special secondary dimension. He ranks among the Federation's strongest direct members and specializes in effectively inexhaustible energy, wide-area bombardment, and unstoppable collision techniques.
Golden Treasure Ship connection
Oulou summons golden rings that open a connection to the Golden Treasure Ship dimension. Destructive golden energy pours through those links, allowing him to fire sustained beams, create explosive waves, and continue large-scale attacks without exhausting an ordinary personal reserve. Maintaining peak energy also preserves his Energy Rank bonuses during prolonged battles. The connection does not create unlimited output: his current Energy Rank caps the force he can release at once, so a substantially stronger opponent can withstand and overwhelm the bombardment. (Chapters 1047, 1071, 1146, 1228, and 1302–1303)
Golden Treasure Ship collision
One application wraps the user in dense golden energy and turns a charge into an unstoppable ram. The copied technique used by Han Xiao ignores crowd-control effects, knocks aside barriers, and keeps accelerating through opposing formations. It is effective for breaking encirclement, reaching a target, or penetrating fleet defenses, but the corpus demonstrates most of these mechanics through Oulou's Character Summon Card rather than a detailed scene of Oulou personally activating the move. (Chapters 1361 and 1440)
Peak Beyond Grade A combat
Oulou's Energy Rank exceeds 90,000 during the crisis with the Association, and outside enhancements can increase his ability strength further. His vast reserves favor attrition and area attacks, and he is considered capable of fighting Kasuyi without losing. His defeat by Han Xiao establishes the latest comparative limit: infinite energy cannot overcome a large deficit in output, mechanical quality, and raw attributes, although Oulou remains one of the strongest combatants below the transcendent level. (Chapters 1146, 1302–1307)
Relationships
- Han Xiao: Oulou begins openly hostile over Federation comrades captured by Black Star and later volunteers to test him in battle. His one-sided defeat becomes a lesson in Han Xiao's growth, while the World Tree War forces their rivalry into practical cooperation.
- Clotti: Clotti is Oulou's Crimson Dynasty counterpart and fellow peak direct member. They fight together against Han Xiao, cooperate throughout the World Tree War, and later stabilize their civilizations' direct Beyond Grade As.
- Kasuyi: Kasuyi is a standard against which Oulou's energy volume and combat level are measured. Their reserves are comparable, and Oulou is described as capable of matching him directly.
- Wuornos: Wuornos is the Arcane Church counterpart whose hidden strength exceeds Oulou's expectations. Oulou resents the difference and worries about the prestige Wuornos could gain by succeeding after the others fail.
- Hila: Oulou fights in the same galactic coalition as Hila and later asks her whether Black Star can survive his isolated confrontation with the Tree God. Her confidence contrasts with his anxiety.
- Manison: Oulou and Manison stand on opposite institutional sides during the Association crisis but later contribute to the same World Tree war effort. Their cooperation is shaped by the common enemy rather than personal closeness.
Items
No named personal weapon, armor, or other qualifying possession is assigned to Oulou in the generated item inventory. The Golden Treasure Ship is a secondary dimension from which his Esper ability borrows power, not a conventional vessel or owned inventory item.
