Li Yalin

Li Yalin, rendered as Li Ya Lin or Li Yan Lin in some early chapters, is a Stardragon Division 13 Pugilist and close-combat agent. Energetic, curious, and formidable in the field, she is among Han Xiao's first teammates and survives long enough to reunite with him more than twenty years later.

Biography

Escape from Germinal and the Aquamarine War

Li Yalin first leads a covert trio into a Germinal base, using a prototype mechanical arm and her Pugilist strength to hold off its guards. She later welcomes Han Xiao into Zhang Wei's team, eagerly becomes a customer for his equipment, and fights beside him against Black Spider and Hila. After Han Xiao leaves Division 13, Li Yalin recognizes him beneath the Black Phantom identity during the war and insists that the connection is real. Her team continues serving Stardragon through the campaign, and she is directly present after the wider conflict rather than confirmed among its casualties. (Chapters 34–53, 61–88, 114, 135–145, and 236–250)

The Flickering World

More than twenty years later, Han Xiao finds Li Yalin operating a small Black Star memorabilia exhibition hall on Planet Aquamarine. She explains that she survived the Mutation Disaster by luck, lost her Division 13 job when the Six Nations were dissolved, and chose retirement rather than further fighting. Their changed ages and statuses initially make her hesitate to embrace him, but Han Xiao repays an old debt, gives her a way to contact him, and returns to complete the hug before leaving. She remains alive and independent at this last direct appearance. (Chapters 908–909)

Appearance and personality

As a young agent, Li Yalin has very fair skin, an athletic and flexible build, and a habit of wearing a yellow hoodie or sports jacket over black compression tights. More than twenty years later, she has fine wrinkles around her eyes but retains her figure and traces of her earlier beauty. She is carefree, energetic, curious, material-minded about discounts, and fiercely confident in her instincts. Age softens her impulsiveness without erasing her warmth or gratitude. Abilities and class

Li Yalin is a Pugilist assigned to close combat. Early in the story she is a level 25 E-class Super with more than 300 ona, channeling yellow energy through powerful kicks and weapon strikes. She combines speed, flexibility, durability, and physical strength, can withstand ordinary bullets with protective clothing and her own body, and uses machetes, retractable blades, and a lightweight mechanical arm to amplify attacks. Her mobility lets her close on ranged opponents and constrain stronger enemies for her teammates. (Chapters 34, 38, 40, 51, 69–71, 81, and 141–142)

Relationships

• Han Xiao: Li Yalin is one of Han Xiao's earliest comrades and equipment customers. She recognizes him as Black Phantom when others hesitate, remembers his unpaid debt, and later thanks him for saving Planet Aquamarine during their affectionate reunion.
• Di Su Su: Di Su Su is Li Yalin's childhood dojo rival and fellow Division 13 agent. Their outwardly playful exchanges conceal a long competitive history, and Li Yalin particularly dislikes Di Su Su's “Little Lin Lin” nickname.
• Lambert: Lambert is Li Yalin's quiet ranged counterpart on the covert team. Her close-range pressure creates shots for him, while his precision fire and knives cover her and their less combat-oriented teammate Lin Yao.
• Zhang Wei: Zhang Wei leads Li Yalin's team. She continues serving under him after Han Xiao's departure and fights alongside him through Stardragon's war against Germinal.

Items

Li Yalin uses the Lightweight Mechanical Arm, first as a Division 13 prototype and later as equipment supplied by Han Xiao, along with a foldable machete and retractable blades. The corpus does not establish that she retains any of these weapons after retiring, so none can be treated as a current or permanent possession in her later life.
