Lambert

Lambert is a taciturn Division 13 covert operative, former special-unit ace, and the sniper on Zhang Wei's team. He fights beside Li Yalin, Lin Yao, and Han Xiao during the early conflict with Germinal, using exceptional marksmanship and knife skills without a stated supernatural class.

Biography

Escape from Germinal and the Aquamarine War

Lambert is secretly transferred into Division 13 after a nominal military discharge and joins the infiltration that steals data from a Germinal base. As Zhang Wei's team sniper, he helps capture Black Spider, covers endangered agents, and wounds Hila during an attempted rescue. In the Dark Crow Valley operation, Lambert infiltrates the base with Lin Yao, discovers its hardened internal structure, and escapes the counterattack before participating in the wider war. He remains with the team after Han Xiao leaves and is last directly seen during the discussion of their former teammate's hidden history. (Chapters 34, 38–51, 62–88, and 135–145)

Appearance and personality

Lambert wears a military-style uniform, carries a black sniper rifle across his back, and straps more than a dozen daggers around his waist. His age and other stable physical features are not supplied. He is exceptionally quiet and usually polishes a blade while others talk. Beneath that reserve is dry humor and an uncompromising operational temperament: he obeys sound instructions instantly, makes blunt threats without changing expression, and delivers complaints in the same poker-faced manner. Abilities and class

Lambert is an elite human combatant, but the corpus does not explicitly identify him as a Super or assign him a class. • Li Yalin: Li Yalin and Lambert form the team's principal combat pair, with her handling close combat and him providing ranged or knife support. Their coordination repeatedly protects Lin Yao and the rest of the unit.
• Zhang Wei: Lambert serves under Zhang Wei as the team's sniper and continues with the unit after Han Xiao departs.
• Hila: Lambert shoots Hila when Li Yalin creates an opening. The hit helps the team escape but does not establish a lasting personal rivalry.
