Guzar

Guzar, titled Peals of Thunder and later shortened to Thunder, is a direct-line Crimson Dynasty Beyond Grade A who manipulates plasma currents. For many years he guards the dynasty's secondary-dimension frontier, where he assists Clotti and first speaks with Han Xiao. He later fights Han on official orders, then works alongside him during preparations for the World Tree War without retaining personal hostility.

Biography

Intelligent Plague and the Association

Chapter 1070 only says that Guzar will welcome Clotti at the secondary-dimension outpost; it is an advance name mention rather than Guzar's presence. He appears in Chapter 1071, greeting his longtime friend and agreeing to help pursue Traveler through territory he has guarded for years. After the Holy Accord strands Clotti in chaotic space streams, Guzar questions Han about the attack, relays the available intelligence to the dynasty, and invites Black Star to visit and spar. Han's memory that Guzar died before the World Tree conflict describes the previous game timeline, not the current one; the later chapters directly show that this Guzar survives into the war era. (Chapters 1070–1071 and 1079)

Sanctum Revival and the Super Crisis

The Crimson Dynasty summons Guzar with dozens of other direct-line Beyond Grade As when the three Universal Civilizations attempt to force Han into submission. Guzar attacks the mechanical army with lightning storms and electromagnetic cannons, but Han defeats the group before dueling Wuornos. Guzar recovers aboard the allied command ship and supports another combined attack before the confrontation ends in a political agreement. When he later speaks casually with Han at the dynasty outpost, the narration explicitly says their battle was official business and created no personal enmity. (Chapters 1302–1314)

The World Tree War

Guzar remains with the explored universe's Beyond Grade A forces as the World Tree conflict escalates. He watches expedition teams depart through the dangerous secondary dimensions and worries that repeated missions will cost lives if Han's claim about the World Tree's main body proves wrong. Later, after a battle in which the enemy's sealing method causes heavy losses, Guzar mourns the comrades who sacrificed themselves while accepting that Han's capture of the responsible Tree King prevented still greater casualties. These scenes establish that he is alive and involved in the war effort, but they do not identify a later death or final fate. (Chapters 1314 and 1363)

Appearance and personality

Guzar is a burly hybrid of dynasty human and Silver ancestry with a rough, masculine face, wild beard, and braids. He wears the uniform of a senior Crimson Dynasty general and later smokes a red cigarette reserved for dynasty elites. Loud, friendly, and somewhat impatient, he enjoys strong opponents, respects achievement, and can separate institutional duty from personal feeling. (Chapters 1071, 1079, and 1314)

Abilities and class

Guzar is a powerful Beyond Grade A Esper whose ability controls plasma currents. He can move as turquoise lightning, surround himself with bright blue arcs, create enormous electromagnetic chains across a mechanical army, summon a lightning storm, and fire electromagnetic cannons. His assignment as a secondary-dimension outpost guardian reflects both his strength and the strategic trust placed in him by the dynasty. (Chapters 1071 and 1305)

Relationships

  • Clotti: Guzar and Clotti entered dynasty service within about five years of each other and have remained close since they were young. Guzar assists Clotti's secondary-dimension pursuit and worries when the Holy Accord exiles him. (Chapters 1071 and 1079)
  • Han Xiao: Guzar first admires Han and invites him to spar. He later fights him under civilization orders, but both treat the battle as official business and cooperate during the World Tree crisis. (Chapters 1079 and 1302–1363)
  • Oulou: Guzar and Oulou fight in the three civilizations' direct-line force against Han and recover together while assessing the duel with Wuornos. (Chapters 1302–1307)
  • Wuornos: Guzar watches Wuornos continue the confrontation after the direct-line team is defeated and prepares to rejoin the attack if necessary. (Chapters 1306–1307)

Items

Guzar carries a red cigarette specially supplied to Crimson Dynasty elites, but it is not a named item in the supplied inventory. (Chapter 1314)
