Dorothy

Dorothy is a Pugilist instructor in the Rose Militant militia. She leads a twenty-person patrol into Han Xiao's ambush in the Somar Desert and is the only member to reach him before being killed.

Biography

Escape from Germinal and the Aquamarine War

Dorothy is first listed among Rose Militant's four known superhumans. When the militia investigates suspicious activity, she selects twenty armed troops and leads them out in four jeeps. Han's poison and sniper fire kill the ordinary fighters, but Dorothy's Pugilist physique lets her withstand the gas long enough to close the distance. She attacks with firearms and an axe, fails to penetrate Han's retractable armor, and is shot dead at close range. Later references to her death are recollections, not evidence that she survived Chapter 94. (Chapters 91 and 93–96)

Appearance and personality

The corpus gives no detailed physical description. In combat Dorothy appears ferocious and brutal, presses forward through poison, and is confident that close range favors her. Her interior life outside the ambush is not established. (Chapter 94)

Abilities and class

Dorothy is a level-25 Pugilist. Her trained physique resists poison better than her ordinary troops, and she fights with a modified machine gun, shotgun, and axe. She is much weaker than Pan Kuang and cannot withstand Han's high-caliber fire. (Chapters 91 and 94)

• Han Xiao: Han isolates Dorothy from her patrol, defeats her close-range attack, and kills her. (Chapter 94)
• Ghostly Fox: Both are Rose Militant Pugilist instructors. Ghostly Fox examines Dorothy's dead team and later remembers her fate when caught in a similar trap. (Chapters 91 and 94–96)
