Iznock
Iznock is a flaming skeletal warrior assigned by Sydney to reinforce Drake’s group and confront Randidly in the north.
Biography
Northern mission and confrontation
Sydney chooses Iznock as the answer to Drake’s fear of meeting Randidly again, sending the flaming skeleton with the departing group. Iznock destroys traces across the landscape with a conjured black axe, then tempers his visible fire while scouting a suspicious camp and remains alert to sentries. The mission culminates in direct combat with Randidly, where Iznock holds the black-haired spearman’s attention as Vandal attempts an attack from behind. (Chapters 307, 310, 330–331, 344)
Appearance and personality
Iznock is a skeleton whose head is normally wreathed in flame. He can draw the fire inward until the blaze fades to a soft glow, allowing a less conspicuous profile. His voice is a rumble, and his behavior combines destructive impatience with enough caution to notice unusual camps and security practices. (Chapters 307, 330–331)
Abilities and progression
He conjures a giant axe of black, rippling energy and uses repeated blows to tear wide swaths through the ground. He can retract or suppress the magic flaming around his skull, and he is trusted to handle a powerful enemy. The outcome does not establish victory over Randidly, nor do the scenes confirm a named class, image, or advancement stage. (Chapters 307, 310, 330, 344)
