Drake is Kal Drake, a former action star who becomes one of East End’s central fighters and a stubbornly loyal member of Sydney’s circle. (Chapters 40, 396, and 1396)

Biography

Service, injury, and stubborn recovery

Drake begins as a recognizable celebrity but accepts ordinary responsibility in East End, representing Sydney, training under Alana, and undertaking missions on Sydney’s behalf. His pride sometimes makes him resist correction, yet the same stubbornness lets him endure brutal fights and a prolonged Soulspace mutation. Randidly rescues him after Roy cripples him, and Sydney keeps vigil during his later agony; after a long invalid period connected to Ace’s crisis, Drake returns strongly enough to upset Kayle in tournament combat.
