Falak

Falak is the immensely powerful bull who carries and accompanies Bastet during the Midnight Inn's earliest days. (Chapters 5–13, 30–35)

Biography

Ancient guest and patient storyteller

Falak enters the new Inn with Bastet, immediately revealing to Lex that Earth contains powers far beyond his comprehension. Instead of threatening the weaker guests, Falak later spends time with Brother Chen and Blane, explaining the history of their world like an amicable elder. That conversation gives displaced soldiers a rare connection to their own past and shows that his relationship with mortals is not defined only by overwhelming cultivation. (Chapters 5–13, 30–35)

Appearance and personality

Falak is a bull large and strong enough to serve as Bastet's mount or carrier. He is calm, sociable, and patient with much weaker humans, taking evident pleasure in teaching history and reminiscing. (Chapters 5–6, 35)

Abilities and cultivation

Lex's scan cannot measure Falak, while later context identifies both him and Bastet as Demi-Dao Lords and among Earth's strongest beings. The narrative demonstrates presence and intelligence rather than a named combat technique, so his exact laws, range, and limitations remain unstated. (Chapters 5–6)
