Setton
Setton is a royal adviser embedded in Sekmala's resistance as a spy for Flexom. His access compromises the rebellion's plans and contributes to devastating attacks before Osiren kills him at the final ancient temple.
Biography
Infiltration, betrayal, and death
Setton presents himself as the royal adviser accompanying the surviving prince and princess. He helps brief Kai's group on the plan to reclaim Rauna's four temples and teaches the newcomers about the resistance while maintaining the trust of Horisia, who later says she trusted him with her life. In secret, however, he opposes the monarchy and feeds its plans to Flexom. That access allows enemy forces to anticipate operations, and his betrayal leaves the survivors unsure whether months of reports from the western territories were deliberately false. (Chapters 357–360 and 393–403)
When exposed, Setton reveals demonic power, attacks Osiren and Horisia, and helps create the conditions for an assault that devastates the resistance base and Sunspot front. He escapes Kai's attempt to let Osiren execute him when Flexom's army intervenes. At the final temple, Setton has already seized an orb intended for the royal line and believes its power will help build a new order beside Flexom and Apophia. He taunts Osiren with responsibility for the royal family's deaths, transforms further, and nearly wins before the prince uses the chalice's empowerment and sacrifices an arm in the decisive blast. Setton dies, ending the resistance's most damaging internal breach. (Chapters 394–400 and 411–415)
Appearance and personality
Setton is identified as an elf, but his hair, eyes, height, clothing, and other features are not specified. His later demonic transformation darkens his skin, turns his eyes crimson, produces horns and claws, and surrounds him with a dark aura. (Chapters 393 and 411)
He is patient, deceptive, and ideologically hostile to the monarchy. Once exposed, his restraint becomes arrogance: he mocks Osiren's anger, enjoys the fight, and openly boasts about orchestrating the royal family's deaths. (Chapters 395–396 and 411)
Powers and abilities
Setton is a capable curved-saber fighter who can use demonic energy to increase speed and strength, develop horns and claws, and overpower an enhanced Osiren. The temple orb grants additional power after he claims it, but the text does not isolate the orb's precise mechanics from his existing demonic enhancement. His confidence fails against Kai's overwhelming force and against Osiren after the chalice amplifies the prince. (Chapters 396 and 411)
