Nate

Nate is a Ninja who travels with the Berserker Mark and fellow Ninja Jim during an Immortal-world gathering expedition.

Biography

Hiding a harvesting party’s true strength

Mark introduces Nate and Jim as his brothers, although Rae doubts the term is literal because they look unrelated and are less than half Mark’s size. Their Ninja class supplies the expedition with stealth specialists alongside its summons, healers, and visible fighters. Nate then instructs the group to move valuable flowers with surrounding soil and avoid damaging their roots, combining resource knowledge with concealment-minded harvesting. (Chapters 1631, 1635)

When the party expects pursuit, Nate and Jim vanish while only part of the group remains visible, making the formation appear smaller and leaving hidden allies ready to respond. After Cara kills an attacker before Mark can use his Rage, Nate jokes from concealment and then emerges to lead the way to a nearby earth cave while Mark recovers his judgment. His choices show a Ninja’s role as scout, reserve, and guide rather than merely a backstabbing combatant. (Chapters 1635–1636)

Recognizing an unfamiliar forced instance

The cave pulls the party into a damaged separate space. Nate identifies the concealed-instance logic but admits that he has never before been forcibly drawn into one, establishing both his experience and its limit. He does not solve the spatial imbalance himself; Cara supplies the explanation, after which the team proceeds collectively. (Chapter 1637)

Back with the group, Nate encourages Mark to focus on combat strength and reaching Void Immortal rather than distractions. He and Jim leave the Tiny World on the first day after spending time with the newly hatched dragons, returning to their own obligations. No injury, promotion, or later change of class is reported. (Chapters 1647, 1657)

Appearance and personality

Nate is a man less than half Mark’s size and does not resemble him; no hair, eye, species, or clothing details are supplied. He is dryly humorous, calm under threat, and more disciplined than Mark when Rage clouds the Berserker’s judgment. His harvesting advice and admission about the forced instance show practical confidence without pretending to know everything. (Chapters 1631, 1635–1637)

Abilities and class

Nate has the Ninja class, a specialized Rogue path. He can conceal himself effectively in forest terrain, move with a party without remaining visible, and emerge in position to guide it. The text gives no formal skill name, duration, detection threshold, attack bonus, or evidence that he becomes literally invisible; terrain and practiced stealth remain the safest explanation. (Chapters 1631, 1635–1636)

He also knows careful Immortal-plant harvesting, pursuit avoidance, and hidden-instance conventions. These are learned techniques, not System spells. The corpus does not state Nate’s exact cultivation stage, only that he advises Mark toward Void Immortal, so no equivalent rank should be assigned to Nate by association. His latest confirmed state remains an active Ninja. (Chapters 1635, 1637, 1647, 1657)

Relationships

Nate travels with Mark and Jim, whom Mark calls brothers; Nate steadies Mark after Rage and encourages his progression. He cooperates readily with Karl’s party, contributing stealth and navigation to their harvesting expedition. Cara’s spatial insight complements his more conventional instance knowledge when the cave traps them. (Chapters 1631–1647)
