Uzeki is an IYSOP participant who tries to invoke tournament rules when Gustav comes to collect Unda's wager.

Biography

Trying to stop the collection

As Gustav Oslov approaches, Uzeki insists that participants cannot attack one another under the rules. Gustav answers that he is only taking what belongs to him, and every step increases Uzeki's tension. The legal objection cannot dissolve the private wager or the danger created by Unda's refusal. (Chapters 1173–1174)

Living with the squad's loss

After Unda dies, Uzeki remains with the squad while Illumo rejects vengeance and redirects attention to IYSOP. Uzeki later continues through tournament scenes beside Teemee and the other participants, surviving because the captain does not let grief escalate into another confrontation with Gustav. (Chapters 1178–1220)

Appearance and personality
