Orimon

Orimon is a Xionsi competitor who enters the IYSOP campaign seeking revenge for his brother. A borrowed one-use killing weapon lets him turn a tournament challenge into an assassination, but the attack leads to his disqualification, torture, and death.

Biography

A concealed revenge plan

Orimon plans to kill Gustav Oslov in a single strike that can pass as an accident. His motive is personal: an earlier Earth attack caused his brother's cells to age, and Master Shirmin gives Orimon a special one-target item for retaliation. Orimon repeatedly seeks a challenge against Teemee and Glade, ignoring the restraint expected from a tournament participant as he searches for the opening his borrowed weapon requires. (Chapters 1220, 1241, 1257–1258, and 1282)

The assassination and failed investigation

Orimon launches a surprise attack with a magenta spear, killing Teemee and Glade and briefly killing Gustav before Gustav's recovery. Investigators can establish motive but cannot conclusively connect the unexplained power to a recoverable item, leaving the tournament authorities without the full mechanism. He is nevertheless detained and disqualified, while Gustav uses Teemee's aging power to punish him. (Chapters 1292–1305)

Gustav's private vengeance

Official uncertainty does not protect Orimon. Gustav reaches him through disguises, subjects him to prolonged torture, and finally kills him by destroying and disintegrating a vital organ. The outcome closes Orimon's revenge cycle in mirrored brutality: an attempt to avenge his brother through hidden assassination produces a private execution for the teammates he killed. (Chapters 1309–1313)

Appearance and personality

Orimon has the translucent skin and green-toned face associated with the Xionsi. He is patient enough to plan an apparently accidental death, but revenge makes him increasingly insubordinate and fixated on securing the right matchup. His refusal to abandon the objective even under tournament scrutiny shows determination narrowed into destructive obsession. (Chapters 1220–1241 and 1257–1282)

Bloodlines and abilities

As a Xionsi, Orimon uses Feather Flutter to lighten his body and move with extreme speed and agility. The lethal magenta spear is not established as an innate bloodline technique; it comes from the one-use item supplied by Master Shirmin. This distinction is essential because investigators themselves cannot reconcile the killing power with Orimon's known abilities. (Chapters 1241 and 1293–1299)

Relationships

  • Gustav Oslov: Orimon targets Gustav for revenge, after which Gustav hunts, tortures, and kills him.
  • Teemee: Orimon engineers a challenge and kills Teemee with the borrowed assassination power.
  • Glade: Glade is another victim of Orimon's tournament attack.
  • Xionsi delegation: Orimon represents the Xionsi species and uses its characteristic Feather Flutter ability; Xionsis is a species/team label, not a separate character.

Items

The one-use killing implement supplied by Master Shirmin enables Orimon's magenta spear attack, but it is not among the generated item links and is not recovered as his lasting possession.
