Biography

Supervising the Sahil mission

Gooseman briefs Gustav Oslov, introduces the support officers, and maintains communications while Gustav enters the sealed city. When the tracker attaches to Jabal rather than Sahil, Gooseman initially classifies the operation as failed and orders extraction because no spare device exists. Gustav's claim that he can still locate the real target forces Gooseman to weigh standing procedure against a cadet's unprecedented opportunity. (Chapters 518–520, 539, 545, and 551)

Accepting an impossible success

Gustav returns carrying Sahil alive, and Gooseman repeatedly verifies the captive before receiving the report. He questions the weather-regulator destruction but recognizes that the five-star objective has been completed. When Miss Aimee arrives, he understands the danger of Milly's defiance, orders Milly to release Gustav, and respectfully explains how Gustav captured the prisoner required by Aimee's larger case. Appearance and personality

The corpus does not isolate a sustained physical description for Gooseman. He is procedural, communicative, and initially cautious about allowing a first-mission cadet to improvise beyond extraction orders. Unlike Milly, he changes his assessment when presented with Sahil and gives Gustav room to explain, showing practical rather than personal skepticism. (Chapters 518–520 and 551–572)
