Pursuit under conflicting authority

Linstrunt harshly rebukes officers who fail to capture Gustav Oslov, treating the Life Signs tracking system as sufficient reason to expect an easy arrest. His certainty collapses when Miss Aimee confronts the operation: the praying-mantis-faced commander is visibly terrified of her and immediately halts the search, privately relieved that the failed capture means her student remains safe. The tunnel investigation

When a later search exposes a concealed tunnel and a headless corpse, Linstrunt again offers personnel despite Aimee's insistence that she needs no help. He activates an unidentified bloodline during the inspection and has the body recovered for forensic work, shifting from pursuit to practical evidence handling rather than challenging Aimee's control of the scene.
