Commander Ergril

Commander Ergril Livat is a Tark commander who recognizes Gustav as the prophesied Outworldly and mobilizes planetary support around him.

Biography

Pledging the Tark worlds

Ergril encounters Gustav Oslov and kneels, offering his life to the figure he recognizes from Tark tradition. He explains the Divine Tablet and his ancestors' prophecy, then extends support from twenty-seven planets and provides military spacecraft and supplies. His reverence turns a chance meeting into a durable strategic alliance rather than a ceremonial acknowledgment. (Chapters 1369–1372)

Bringing that loyalty to Earth

When Gustav later faces danger on Earth, Ergril arrives prepared to threaten hostilities on his behalf. Gustav explains that the immediate accusation has been cleared, and Ergril apologizes and withdraws instead of escalating blindly, then meets Gustav's companions. Information passed through him about going left also contributes to the later search for the Tark Time Candidate, though Ergril himself is not identified as that candidate. (Chapters 1524–1538)

Appearance and personality

Ergril appears in military armor and is later noted for wise eyes. He is intensely devout toward the Outworldly, generous with Tark resources, and aggressive when he believes Gustav is threatened, yet disciplined enough to apologize and stand down when corrected. (Chapters 1369–1525)
