Liam Nefeli

Liam Nefeli, known as the Lightning Dragon, is a prodigious human swordsman whose sight-based style damages his memory.

Biography

From arena champion to alliance fighter

Liam dominates Duke Azenoch's arena until Ren defeats him and frees him alongside Edward Stern. Back on Earth, Ren partially repairs the memories Liam's martial art has eroded, and Liam repays that help in the mana-compressor mission, breaking through to S- before killing a Marquis. His appetite for hard fights later drives him to challenge Suriol, reach SS through ordinary training, and risk himself against Gluttony's Princess so Maylin can strike. Appearance and personality

Liam has yellow eyes and is often found asleep while clutching his sword. The sleepiness offsets an otherwise blunt, proud, thrill-seeking temperament: he treats terrifying enemies as interesting tests and respects Ren as both rescuer and preferred rival. (Chapters 519–525, 537–559, 647, 859)

Powers and abilities

The Ivorian Style produces lightning-fast sword movements, including Lightning Dragon, while Liam's unusual eyes read movement, weaknesses, and demonic cores. The art consumes tremendous energy and progressively damages memory; sleeping helps manage its cost but does not restore what has already been lost. (Chapters 519–525, 577–588, 646, 775, 845)
