Han Yufei

Han Yufei is a duty-bound Han clan swordsman who trades family knowledge with Ren to secure his clan's future.

Biography

Clan duty and coalition service

At Issanor, Han initially refuses Ren's request for Martial Body instruction, then accepts a trade: the Han method in return for the location of a five-star sword art. He takes the dangerous Gravar style because his father expects him to preserve the clan, then joins the compressor mission and later the human alliance. His subsequent battles against Viscounts and Gluttony's forces show that family ambition has become sustained coalition service rather than private prestige. Appearance and personality

Han has sleek black hair and favors formal or traditional dress; later combat emphasizes his burly frame and large broadsword. Usually calm and courteous, he becomes visibly anxious when Ren pressures him socially or Liam turns strength into a teasing comparison. (Chapters 409–413, 559, 641–648, 844)

Powers and abilities

The Han family manual includes Body Hardening, Mind-Spirit Connection, and Martial Body, a temporary burst that raises effective power by a sub-rank. Han also acquires the five-star Gravar sword art, although the corpus never confirms mastery. In later battles he enlarges his physique and concentrates force through his broadsword.
