Gernis Lasfront

Gernis Lasfront—also rendered Gervis, Geris, and Genis—is one continuous character: Henlour's Metropoliskeeper and later the dwarven leader within the alliance.

Biography

Henlour and Immorra

Gernis judges Waylan's case, approves the dangerous counterplan against Inferno, and preserves enough political control to reward the human team after the victory. He later represents Henlour in Issanor and helps convert conquered Immorra into a viable refuge, operating machinery powered by SSS cores. Captured inside Pride, he refuses easy submission and continues fighting Prince-level enemies until Octavious and Ren alter the outcome. (Chapters 334–445, 771–842)

Appearance and personality

Gernis is an aged, small dwarf whose physical size contrasts with his commanding presence. Calm and technically exacting, he combines political authority with a craftsperson's curiosity, showing particular interest in Melissa's magic cards and later open pride in dwarven machinery. Powers and abilities

He is both a high-ranked dwarven combatant and engineer. In later warfare he wears armor and uses a concentrated ray-gun artifact capable of killing Prince-level targets, though the weapon requires stored power and the source does not provide its formal name. (Chapters 771, 791–801, 831–834)
