Hiraku Tearnos

Hiraku Tearnos is a human Awakened from the inventive Star of Creation Supreme Family. Although his immense build and violent combat style cause Michael to mistake him for a Berserker, Hiraku is not one. His Titan Spirit and Creation Soultraits make him an unusually durable front-line fighter who can form weapons for the needs of each battle. Initially a temporary ally, he becomes one of Michael's most trusted commanders, a caretaker of the Untamed territories, and eventually Michael's right hand.

Biography

Savannah Alliances and Regional War

Hiraku enters the story while sparring so fiercely with Frederik Kolbenheim that Michael mistakes the bout for an attack. He calls Frederik a training partner rather than a friend, yet his restraint and concern undercut his forbidding manner. A Peak Tier 3 Awakened, Hiraku has already lost practical access to his own territory: a High Beast destroyed his manor when he was a Tier 1 Lord, occupied the anchor area, and left his reanchored island domain beyond his ability to reclaim. Bored outside the Origin Expanse and eager for combat, he accepts Michael's temporary Link of Loyalty and nondisclosure agreement. (Chapters 596–599)

Hiraku's first campaign in the Untamed Jungle turns that limited contract into genuine respect. Titan Spirit lets him stall High Lionhearts while Creation supplies shields, maces, and other armaments, but his transformation is exhausting and initially lacks its own healing; Nature Spirits, Elementals, Michael, and allied support Soultraits keep him fighting. Michael judges that casualties would have been far worse without him. Hiraku nevertheless refuses a free four-star Soultrait at first, warning Frederik not to mistake gifted power for self-earned strength. By the campaign's end he is approaching the final barrier to becoming a Higher Lifeform and is seriously considering a permanent place in the territory. (Chapters 606–648)

Arx, the Sacred Desert, and Bloodline Revelations

Michael appoints Hiraku to lead Mekhaz and the Warlock Centaurs in mobile attacks during the Regional War. Hiraku directs airborne insertions, crushes enemy formations, and changes Creation's output from an axe and shield to thrown cannonballs, daggers, or a mace as circumstances demand. His severity has limits: after discovering monster younglings and juvenile Awakened in slave cages, he frees them, permits them to choose whether to leave, and speaks with open kindness. He continues the campaign while protecting the rescued group, then helps finish the Lords' forces and return the victors to Arx. (Chapters 651–674)

The regional gains finally carry Hiraku through High Ascension. By Chapter 699, Frederik explicitly notes that Hiraku has become a Higher Lifeform, and Hiraku can defeat Kaleb Zenovia in a spar before dispersing Titan Spirit. He has also made his loyalty permanent: he calls membership in the Untamed territory his greatest achievement and views supporting Michael as a defining responsibility. This commitment costs him any remaining expectation of reconciliation with the Star of Creation family, which had rejected his decision to emphasize Titan Spirit over Creation. Rather than return to their prescribed path, he decides to accept further growth on his own terms. (Chapters 683–723)

The Nest and the Supreme Human Alliance

While Michael is absent at the Nest, Hiraku becomes both protector and administrator. Beating several High Beasts discourages further attacks on the settlements, and Michael entrusts him with military finances, Summoning Gate access, and permission to expand the armed forces. Hiraku also works with the Greater Nature Spirit on infrastructure and uses Creation in the Paradise Valley excavation. He is not deeply invested in High Society politics, but he recognizes that the Supreme Human Alliance is dividing humanity and contributes to the territorial leadership that keeps the Untamed Jungle functioning during Michael's absence. Hiraku later fights in the civil conflict and the Sacred Desert campaigns. Against the Blaze forces, his Titan form adapts to the desert, cooperating with a Pyro Baron and manipulating compacted sand while he wields paired broadswords. His judgment continues to mature alongside his power: he stops Michael from spending urgently needed fragments before the fight with the Blaze Patriarch, then admits he has been accumulating Jungle Points for an eventual Titan Spirit upgrade. He also treats dangerous hunting as professional military work, ending cooperation when Valyr clients insult the price demanded by him, Thaor, and their companions. (Chapters 844–895)

Trials, Divinities, and the Titan War

Hiraku refuses to let Michael enter the Temple of the Forgotten alone, but the temple's barrier prevents him and the other followers from proceeding. Michael consequently leaves him authority over the Jungle Shop and the territories. When the Dragys advance, Hiraku organizes scouts, controls war meetings, restrains internal conflict, and leads a preemptive strike that damages an enemy settlement before the attackers can locate Arx. He then defends against three Tier 6 Dragys with the aid of three Legendary High Artifacts and flame-consuming modifications to his Titan form, surviving long enough for Michael to return and strengthen him. The years that follow establish Hiraku as a Super Awakened and one of the Untamed military's two leading forces beside Frederik. Origin Liquid accelerates his development, while additional Soultraits let Titan Spirit assume a fiery, scaled form whose internal shockwave is expected to penetrate an ordinary Divine Lifeform's defenses. Hiraku is confident enough to claim he can defeat an average Divine, although Michael's weakest Imperial Barrier still blocks his test strike. During this period his former fiancée joins Michael's territory after years of separation; the immediate reunion is described as a clash, not as an instant resolution of their history. God Wars and the Primal Conflict

Hiraku's authority now extends beyond battlefield strength. He helps dissuade Daniel Fang from attempting a border conquest alone, travels with Michael to report on wars, resources, and construction, and participates in planning against Gods and Primal enemies. Michael also trusts him to intervene if Tiara and Caesus injure each other too severely. Alongside Lilica, Siegfried, and the Silverfang siblings, Hiraku receives operational authority over Untamed deployments against the Tekur, demonstrating that he has become a stabilizing commander as well as a shock fighter. (Chapters 1001–1039)

Against the Tekur Queen, Hiraku unveils a taller blood-red Titan created by his nine-star Titan Spirit. Michael has contributed some fragments, but the narrative stresses that Hiraku earned most of the upgrade through his own effort. He and Mekhaz absorb the Queen's attention, injuries, and repeated attacks so that Frederik, Kaleb, and the wider army can exploit openings. They stall her for a full day by replenishing themselves with stored resources, prevent her escape, and share responsibility for her eventual death. Hiraku remains active at the annual Jungle Meeting afterward, checking preparations for the expanding territory and the larger Primal war. (Chapters 1042–1047)

The Unknown Domain and the New Era

Decades later, Hiraku has reunited with and married Hellen, the fiancée he left before joining Michael. The couple are happy parents of twenty-one children and have eighty-five grandchildren, with another pregnancy suggested at the time Michael observes them. Their household is so large that birthdays and family celebrations occur almost every week. The endpoint does not explain how Hiraku and Hellen resolved their earlier separation, but it shows that the cold, solitary fighter who once avoided both family and territory has built an exceptionally close extended family. Appearance and personality

Hiraku is a dark-skinned human more than two meters tall, estimated at roughly 2.2 meters, with an extremely muscular build, long black dreadlocks, sharp silver eyes, and tattoos covering his body. His proportions initially resemble a Berserker's strongly enough to mislead Michael, but the text explicitly corrects that assumption. In his early silver Titan form he grows several meters tall; with the Greater Nature Spirit's aid, the transformation reaches about ten meters and covers him in bark, vines, roots, moss, flowers, and leaves. Later variants replace that vegetation with fiery red scales, black arms, or a blood-red body. (Chapters 596, 606, 723, 873, 976, 1042)

He first appears cold, distant, and difficult to read. His suspicion of Michael arises from concern that Frederik is being exploited, and he researches Michael before deciding whether loyalty is warranted. That caution coexists with good manners, tactical patience, and an understated capacity for affection: he frees enslaved children, protects Frederik during training, and gradually allows awkward smiles to break his impassive expression. Hiraku enjoys violent combat and can release killing intent when losing, yet he also accepts the unglamorous role of absorbing attacks when it protects an army. Hiraku's mature personality is defined by earned loyalty and guarded generosity. He refuses easy Soultrait gifts until convinced that accepting them will serve a larger responsibility, and he insists that allies preserve vital resources for threats only Michael can confront. Although estranged from a family that tried to dictate his path, he does not reject Creation or the study behind it; he deliberately turns that inheritance into support for the warrior he chose to become. His later service as administrator, referee, and commander shows increasing comfort with responsibilities that cannot be solved by brute force. (Chapters 716, 778–808, 887, 927–938, 1001–1047)

Titan Spirit, Creation, and combat abilities

Titan Spirit

Titan Spirit is Hiraku's transformation Soultrait. Its basic silver form enlarges his body and gives a Peak Tier 3 Hiraku enough physical strength to transcend normal Lesser Lifeform limits. In the Untamed Jungle, he can request help from nearby Spirits and the Greater Nature Spirit, producing a roughly ten-meter Titan and temporary Minor Nature Affinity. The resulting bark, vines, and roots provide armor and environmental control, while the added power lets him contend with Higher Lifeforms before his own ascension. This is borrowed and situational reinforcement, not proof that early Hiraku permanently possesses a Higher Lifeform's realm or limitless strength. (Chapters 598, 606–613)

The transformation develops distinct environmental and combat expressions. Nature-based forms manipulate roots, foliage, earth, and compacted sand; Elementals can coat or reinforce the Titan with soil, water, wind, or fire. Later Soultraits alter its veins and roots so that they consume Dragys flames, and the Divine Academy-era version grows fiery-red scales, black arms, and a heat-based impact wave intended to pass through ordinary Divine defenses. By the Tekur campaign, Titan Spirit is explicitly nine-star and produces a taller blood-red body capable of surviving prolonged contact with the Tekur Queen. Titan Spirit always has costs. Early on it is temporary, cannot heal Hiraku by itself, and strains body, mind, and soul; allies, potions, Elementals, and support Soultraits often determine how long he can remain effective. Even later, three Legendary High Artifacts and flame-consuming traits are needed to hold several Tier 6 Dragys, while the Tekur Queen tears away parts of his flesh and exhausts him despite the nine-star upgrade. His greatest feats therefore show exceptional durability and synergy rather than invulnerability. (Chapters 607–613, 679–680, 932–933, 1042–1044)

Creation

Creation is the inherited Soultrait of the Star of Creation family. Hiraku can reproduce an object temporarily once he understands how it was made, and he studies extensively enough to turn the ability into a flexible arsenal. He forms maces, morningstars, shields, axes, daggers, cannonballs, broadswords, arm guards, walls, and metal plates, dissolving one construction to replace it with another as the battle changes. Created objects are not permanent Artifacts, but they can match the original object's durability and are sized for his Titan body. (Chapters 606–608, 631, 655–657, 679, 723, 873)

His family expected Creation to be his main path, whereas Hiraku chose Titan Spirit as his focus and used Creation to support close combat. That decision led to estrangement, yet it also produces the combination that distinguishes him from both his inventive relatives and the Berserkers he resembles. Creation supplies the exact defense, weapon, or terrain obstruction needed for Titan Spirit's mass and strength, and it has peaceful utility as well: Michael relies on it to solve construction problems during the Paradise Valley excavation. Body refinement, Soultrait support, and elemental cooperation

An unnamed body-refinement technique gives Hiraku strong natural elemental resistance, while Noble Elementals and Nature Spirits add situational protection and power. Michael's Enhancement, Lokai's Burning Fury, healing formations, allied support Soultraits, and later Soultrait upgrades repeatedly amplify him. The corpus names Titan Spirit and Creation but does not name every later Soultrait used to change his Titan body's veins, roots, scales, or heat. Martial skill and command

Hiraku combines raw power with competent martial awareness. He shifts between defense and aggression, refuses to wait through an opponent's transformation, identifies when acting as a tank will change the course of a battle, and coordinates the timing needed for weaker allies to exploit a Higher Lifeform. Berserkers and Warlock Centaurs trust him because of his prowess and battlefield violence, while later forces accept him as a strategist and administrator. Michael Fang

Michael Fang begins as a stranger Hiraku suspects of trying to enslave Frederik. Observing Michael's territory, sacrifices, and treatment of subordinates changes that judgment. Hiraku accepts a temporary link for battle, later makes his loyalty permanent, and eventually regards supporting the territory as his greatest achievement. Michael responds with authority, resources, and trust, placing Hiraku over military finances and defenses and calling him his right hand. Their bond is not blind obedience: Hiraku questions Michael, restricts reckless spending, and supplies candid strategic advice precisely because he trusts Michael's purposes. Frederik Kolbenheim

Frederik Kolbenheim introduces Hiraku as a friend, while Hiraku dryly prefers “training partner.” His actions reveal the deeper attachment: he accompanies Frederik into the Untamed Jungle, warns him against dependence on Michael's gifts, protects him during a chaotic brawl, and later shares command of the Super Awakened and Untamed military with him. Their strengths are complementary, with Hiraku drawing attention and holding enemies while Frederik supplies mobile wind attacks. Hiraku's reserved care helps ground Frederik, and Frederik's openness helps draw smiles and conversation from Hiraku. (Chapters 596–599, 622, 631, 682, 699–700, 987, 1001, 1042)

Hellen

Hellen is identified in Chapter 1120 as Hiraku's wife and as the fiancée he left before joining Michael. Hiraku remembers that separation painfully and continues rejecting other women because he remains in love with the woman he left. An earlier passage calls the ex-fiancée accepted into Michael's territory “Jacqueline,” which conflicts with both Hellen's endpoint identification and Jacqueline Orlando's established relationship with Frederik; the reunion sequence therefore supports the event but leaves the earlier name uncertain. Hiraku and Hellen eventually have twenty-one children and eighty-five grandchildren, though their reconciliation is not narrated in detail. (Chapters 716, 958–960, 1120)

Berserkers, Warlock Centaurs, and the Untamed forces

Hiraku is human, but Berserkers and Warlock Centaurs recognize a familiar directness in his violence and follow him after witnessing his strength. Mekhaz and other Warlock Centaurs who once served under him rejoin his command during the Regional War, where Hiraku treats them as a coordinated heavy-hitter unit rather than expendable followers. His circle later broadens to Elementals, Forest Elves, Silverfangs, Super Awakened, and Divine subordinates. By the Tekur war, these forces depend on him to absorb pressure, issue deployments, and prevent powerful personalities from turning internal disputes into fatal divisions. Family of origin

The Star of Creation Supreme Family is famous for inventions and for descendants who pursue its Creation Soultrait with near-total devotion. Hiraku's natural build and interests make him an exception. When he announces that Titan Spirit will be his central path and Creation only a combat aid, the family abandons and threatens him, contacting him again only after his official rise within Michael's territory. Their rejection explains both his wariness of conditional generosity and his determination to earn upgrades through effort. The corpus does not show a later reconciliation with his birth family. Created armaments

Most weapons associated with Hiraku are temporary products of Creation rather than separately owned Artifacts. His repertoire includes paired maces that become a morningstar and shield, a double-headed axe, thrown cannonballs, daggers, broadswords, arm guards, walls, and armor plates woven into Titan Spirit's roots and vines. He can dismiss and replace these objects rapidly, giving him an adaptable loadout without establishing any one created weapon as his permanent signature item. Bracelets, necklace, and Legendary High Artifacts

In his spar with Jason Kleora, Hiraku summons a pair of bracelets on his right arm and a crimson necklace that greatly increase his mental power before he transforms. During the Dragys invasion he is equipped with three Legendary High Artifacts that substantially raise his physical ability in Titan form. The corpus does not provide stable names or a complete accounting that proves whether the earlier jewelry is part of that later set, so they cannot be merged into a single named equipment suite with confidence. Plunder Crystals and replenishment resources

Hiraku and Mekhaz use more than a dozen Plunder Crystals loaded with thousands of Superior Energy Stones while stalling the Tekur Queen for a day. In this scene they function as expendable sources of replenishment, allowing the fighters to continue a battle that would otherwise exhaust them before the Queen is worn down. Their use is important to the victory because it prevents Hiraku's endurance from being mistaken for an innate, unlimited property of Titan Spirit.
